The kitchen was the most well-equipped one with everything well-thought out and considered. You can really tell the effort put in by the host and family. Everyone loved the projector Tv and wished we could have spent more time here. The host was very nice communicative too. Would love to stay here again and use the outdoor patios next time.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Mashuko youth hostel, the owner and his family do all the best to make your stay as comfortable as possible! They have vast knowledge about Asan park and it's neighbourhood, plus are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for hiking and if you want enjoy the wildlife - I saw a fox and deers a couple of times. It's ideal location to visit Mashu lake and climb the Mashu mount, however if you want to visit the other lakes: Kussharo and Akan I recommend renting a car or a mountain bike. Still I really enjoyed staying here and thinking about coming back here in future. Arigato gozaimasu!
