Offering an outdoor pool, children's playground and sun terrace, Orana Motor Inn & Restaurant is located in Kaitaia. Guests enjoy free WiFi, an on-site restaurant and free parking. Cosy unit. I needed a bottle opener, which was happily supplied. Staff were just lovely. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Booked dinner for 9 as we had family join us on our last night. Fantastic meal and service.

Located in the centre of Kaitaia Town, Kauri Lodge Motel is across the Kaitaia Information Centre, and a 10-minute drive from the Kaitaia Airport. I love everything about this motel. Albeit old, it is maintained and cleaned well. All the amenities are working. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, pots and pans. They also have Netflix! The receptionist at the hotel is also very friendly and accomodating. She made sure we had everything we need. Even invited us for Christmas dinner! This is a good stop over before heading to Cape Reinga.

Loved being surrounded by the beautiful trees and river and the feeling of privacy. The unit offered all that was needed and even a lovely fire pit for cosy nights. Host was very welcoming and thoughtful touches of little blankets etc.
