Everything down to the fresh baked goods in our room, bath salts for the outdoor tub and chocolates on our pillows was a step beyond. Casey worked with us on arrival and departure times. The views are beautiful, your own private pond and the cabin was exceptionally clean. I wish we would have had more than one night but we would work this place into our trip every time. It is beautiful. We stayed in several other cabins, and this was by far the best because of all the special details. Thank you for all your special attention to the little things.

Ascot Oamaru Motel is one of Oamaru's largest motel complexes only minutes by car to the town centre, shops, Blue Penguin Colony, Oamaru Racecourse, Centennial Park and the Historic Oamaru Precinct. I found it OK for one night stay but the room was dated but still it was clean .

Warm hearted, generous and a good sense of humour. A great balance of allowing privacy and offering social contact. The furnishings in Rosie's home are tasteful and create a welcoming atmosphere. The Shepherd's Rest is situated on a farm, within a 10-minute drive from the centre of Oamaru. The adults-only property has mountain views. Quirky and fun from the gypsy caravan shaped cabin to the alpacas and sheep that greet you every morning. We loved our stay here and feeding the critters was a delight.
