Offering an extensive garden and free WiFi throughout, Jacoway Inn is located 14 km from the Douglas-Charles airport in the quaint sea-side village of Calibishie.

I had no idea I booked an entire cottage, but who cares because it ended up being one of the coolest, most atmospheric places I've stayed in all my years of travel. The mountainside setting in lush tropical gardens cannot be beat, and the cottage itself was over 100 years old and beautiful. The host, Carol Ann, is one of the main reasons to stay here, and we made a life-long friend in our brief, one-night stay.

Offering a private beach area, Veranda View Guesthouse is located in Calibishie. Free WiFi access is available, along with great views of the Atlantic Ocean, Guadeloupe, Les Saintes and Marie-Galante....

A great location in town but not in the thick of things where loud music may be played in the bars. We booked the triple room and it was very large. Outdoor covered kitchen and indoor sink. Breezes from three directions kept it cool enough. The weather was hotter than normal and we are AC people. But we did fine. It took us a night to master the mosquito net so my husband did get a lot of bites the first night. But after that we were fine. Walking distance to some amazing restaurants (shout out to Unique Restaurant and the incredible lion fish). Our hostess was lovely and cared so much that we were having a good time.

Location was perfect. There were three restaurants within 1 minute walk that were all exceptional. Location is 20 minutes from the airport and the best beach in Dominica...Batibau. The host was extra informative and sweet. If you decide to stay close to the Capital you would have to drive 1.5hrs to get there compared to the 20minutes in Calibishe.
