Beautiful oasis. This several hundred year chateau has been occupied for the same family for several generations (six, I believe!). There are a couple annexes as well as a separate building with two cottages - I stayed in one of the cottages. The WiFi does not reach the cottages but I knew that before I booked and planned accordingly. The breakfast room is open and has WiFi. The walled and gated property is surrounded by a residential area of low rise nicely maintained apartments and is steps from a bus stop and a short walk into town. If arriving without a car, it is best to take the train to Toulon and then take the 29 bus. When leaving take the 29 bus continuing on the same route to the Hyeres train station. I walked into the center of Hyeres 2x per day during my stay. While most guests seem to come by car, one can easily enjoy a stay without a car. On my last day, the owner had some free time and offered to drive me to the train station. The owners are very friendly and welcome everyone as if they were long lost family members. The pool is kept at a nice temperature and the area around the pool is relaxing. There are several shaded seating areas on the property. The cottage is nicely appointed and hair/body wash is provided. There is a washing machine and a drying rack. A typical French breakfast is on offer.

L'appartamento di Odile è molto ben attrezzato, luminoso, pulito e confortevole. La posizione è centrale, comoda per qualunque servizio e la vista dal terrazzo è strepitosa. Odile, che ci ha accolto personalmente, è gentile e disponibile, oltre che simpatica. Torneremo sicuramente.

La casa era perfetta e vicinissima al porto dove si possono trovare ristoranti e locali serali. A 100mt. C'è l'imbarco per due delle isole di Hyeres. À pochi passi il bus 67 porta direttamente all'imbarco per l'isola di Porquerolles.

at the time of booking the apartment had no ratings but we wanted to trust it and we were pleasantly surprised. welcoming atmosphere, everything very clean, games for children much appreciated, very complete kitchen, perfect for short stays, we did 4 days. the harbor area was very lively every evening, so we went out on foot.
