Kupu Kupu Garden is nestled amidst the jungle, directly beside the river. It's approximately a 15-minute walk to town (30 minutes from the car drop-off point). Our room featured a balcony and a hammock, providing a delightful spot for relaxation for all of us.

The rooms are beautifully elegant, spacious and very comfortable. the location by the river is just incredible. but most of all it was the staff who made it special. The team arranged everything at very short notice and made it a seamless experience. Anton was a fabulous guide into the jungle.

We had most beautiful stay in lucky bamboo - the wonderful Garden near by the river and right in front of the jungle is awesome and the restaurant offers so much different (also vegetarian) local and fresh cooked food, it‘s amazing. We spent 5 days here and just fell in love with the place and the people! We really recommend booking a jungle tour in lucky bamboo, the guides Kella and Rasta are more than qualified and so sweet and friendly people. Also Johnny, the host is full of hospitality and really wants you to feel like home. It’s a magical place and we really look forward to visit our little jungle-family again! Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.
