I chose Orietta Residencial based on exceptional other reviews, mentioned facilities and friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the Port (for travel to Santo Antao), main streets of Mindelo, and Laginha Beach. In all cases this was a fantastic choice. The Italian couple who run Orietta, and their team, are unbelievably friendly and helpful with a determination to make even the smallest stay perfect. The location is on a quiet street very close to everything, and with an amazing interior courtyard. The top terrace overlooking the pool is a nice relaxed sunny spot for breakfast but also to work and in the evening to have a few drinks during sunset. It is cooler and less rushed and noisy than the rest of Mindelo, away from some of the hassles in town. The room was cool, very tidy, with everything you need, including a marble bathroom with a large, reliable shower. Everything was spotlessly tidy and clean and the terrace area is perfectly designed to allow guests to feel at home and to easily relax. As the hosts also made is possible for me to arrive early (from the airport) and leave late (for the port), I can say with certainty their only focus is the well being of guests. From walking round Mindelo I can also say with certainty they have the best place!

The view from hotel was amazing and very clean. Jean Pierre had prepared breakfast and dinner for us which was very large quantity and delicious. He was very gentle to accomplish any request we had.

מקום האירוח Private Apartament Celestina & Carlos שוכן במינדלו, במרחק של 400 מ' מפראייה דה לג’ינייה, ומציע יחידות אירוח ממוזגות עם אינטרנט אלחוטי בחינם וגם גישה לטרסה. everything. best accommodation that we stayed in with nicest and most helpful owners ever!!! celestina and carlos, thank you for everything. the best of cabo verdian hospitality :-) carlos came to pick us up from the port (for free), celestina served us some delicious grogue and cake. they also organized a turtle tour for us and carlos drove us there and waited for us, as well as giving us a full tour of the island in his car :-). the last day they both drove us to the airport at 6 am to say goodbye. and they recommended an excellent restaurant with live music (metalo) and other activieties. excellent hospitality, we will be back for sure! The apartment is super new, super clean, with eveyrthing that you need, air conditioning, washing machine, all kitchen utensils, really nice shower with unlimited hot water. celestina left us really delicous breakfast (local jams, bread, ham, cheese...), fruit and juices for the duration of our stay. beach towels were provided too -- they really thought of every single detail :-). the apartment is in a nice, safe neighbourhood 5 min walk away from the main city beach, which for us was the most beautiful beach on the island, safe for swimming, many restaurants (some other beaches had too many waves and were unsafe for swimming, plus this city beach had the most amazing blue colour of the water). there are numerous restaurants within like 5min walk from the apartment. you can also walk to the city centre (like 15 min walk to the main square). i wish i could give more than 10, because they trully deserve it!

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Maderal is set in Mindelo in the Sao Vicente Region. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. great host & super clean room. There is a nice terras with a nice breeze. good location, city center is 10min walk and the beach is also 10min walk. I was sick during my stay and Filomena made me tea and a 'magic potion'. She was very helpful. Even sick I enjoyed the stay!

We did not have a very good stay but the owners were very reactive to resolve everything. I am sure they will make the necessary improvements in the future. The apartment itself is great.

She was contacting us and answering our questions instantly. She arranged the pick up taxi to airport and she gave many advices . She arranged cleaning of apartament without asking for it. That was very nice and kind of her ❤️ we liked everything. It’s literally 5 min walk to laghinga beach and 15 min walking to center and port . It was perfect

First of all the view to the sea is amazing. The apartment is new and well equipped. We had some minor issues (because it is a new building) during our stay, but the owner came and quickly made improvements. Owner was friendly and did everything he could that our stay would be pleasant. He gave some good tips of restaurants and other places we should visit.
