A charming, newly renovated old house on the mountainside with breathtaking views of Lake Como. The care of the owner was beyond expectations, we got good advice for moving around the area and the breakfast was great, and flexible in terms of schedules. Special care was taken for the enjoyment of the our teenagers. We stayed in a family room, the room was just right for our needs and the balcony had stunningl view of the lake. The train service stopped due to land slide and we faced difficulty in reaching and leaving Varenna. Difficult to catch a taxi to leave Varenna to Lecco for onward train to Milano. Laura was kind enough to order a taxi for us. Clean and quiet room. Excellently located very close to the pier - good when raining.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Mandello del Lario, Picobello Lago is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain. The host was really helpful, she even send us some places to go for food and full instructions for check in. She offered us a welcome drink and some snacks. Also the view was amazing, you could see the mountain and it was pretty close to the train station and the lake. It is a very quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe every hour of the day. I would definately recommend it to spend vacation there!

First of all, the location is great. The view of Lake Como spreading out in front of me and the beautiful flowers around the house were wonderful. And, in fact, Madame's presence is even more wonderful. I was truly healed by her loving smile and support. In the end, I felt so comfortable that I was sad to go home. I returned to Japan today, but I want to see you again soon.
