It was very good stay in the hotel. The staff was so friendly. Everything was super clean. Breakfast was traditional, and was very good!

What did I like? Well; where do I start.... the location is perfect, in the middle of the palms plantation. the guesthouse has been restored meticulously are represent 100% the traditional Omani family home. Breakfast was TOP and the amazing dinner was shared with host whom answered the multiple questions we had. The second night we had a lovely chat on the terrace and for me this was the highlight of my time in Oman. I left Al Hamra with a bit of sadness, but made my mind up that I will be back to visit Emina and her fantastic friends in the next few years. 10 on all accounts

M'ha encantat l'estada a 228Hostel. Lloc estratègic perfecte per fer trekkings a les muntanyes Jabal Shams... I a un preu molt més 'sostenible' que a dalt de les muntanyes mateix. Marita i Mamoud fan que l'estada sigui molt agradable amb un tracte molt personal i amigable. No us equivocareu si acabeu aquí.

- Ahmed is the nicest Omani man ever :) - He even send us a lot of tips about what to see in Oman and where to eat, - everything is new, the huge fridge, new AC, - towel and blanket fresh from the laundry, - big kitchen to use by guests

Very clean, big rooms, modern bilding near the old houses and museum (by feet 15min), a lot places to eat and some supermarket on the same street. There the palm trees and aflaj near so it's a good place just to walk around.

We had a fantastic stay here! The host Hamza went above and beyond, he was very cheerful, generous and kind. We opted for breakfast and Hamza made us a fresh packed breakfast to take hiking even though we left early in the morning. It was plenty of food and delicious and we were very grateful (it included paratha, eggs, nutella, fresh juice, fresh fruit and veg, water). The room was spacious and comfortable and the shower was powerful and warm. The pool made for a lovely swim after a day of hiking. The local town is walking distance with plenty of options for dinner and groceries and Al Hamra a walk/drive away with more options. It is an easy drive up to Jebel Shams (we had a 2WD and the dirt road was absolutely fine) as well as other hiking spots. Hamza also gave us some information about the surrounding area and available activities (we recommend hiking from Misfah al Abriyyn). I would highly recommend staying here, we would definitely stay again.

La ubicació excel.lent (a pocs minuts del sunset point en cotxe), la casa ben equipada (cuina, barbacoa, aigua calenta, mantes) i amb una agradable jardí. Un bon lloc on allotjar-se per explorar la zona.

At first we couldn't find it. But after a phonecall to the number at the bookingreservation, we received the right address. The host was humble, very friendly and we felt really welcome there.
