The location is 20 minutes walk from the main cinemas, as we were there for the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Our pension was nest to university accommodation which made it a very safe place. Plenty of restaurants & bars close by.

The location was convenient, we parked nearby and just walked around . Old town was a bus away or walkable maybe 20 minutes but it was drizzling and cold so we just took the bus. It’s also difficult to find parking in most areas in Bilbao so best to just leave it in a parking building if you have a rental . Studio is good sized and can even fit maybe 4 people if the sofa be is used. We were able to cook a good meal as the kitchen is well equipped. there’s also at least 2 groceries nearby( 2 to 3 minutes away . washing machine is not in the unit but we didn’t use it.

Set in San Sebastian City Centre, 200 metres from La Concha Beach, Pensión Garibai features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Outstanding hotel. Perfect example of a supposed two-star hotel that was better functionally than some five-stars I’ve stayed in. Perfectly fitted out bedroom - not huge but well designed with a six-foot bed. Things that some hotels get wrong were great here like lighting, shower. Great location a street away from the sea and just between the old and new towns. Perfect for both. Great restaurant below for breakfast - also good organic supermarket. Good coffee maker available 24 hours.

The location is extremely convenient. I found the room clean, cobfortable and quiet. I had a very good night sleep. I appreciated the self check in option, as I arrived late in the evening. The closeness to the public car park and the reduced rate available to me as a guest of the Pension was also a plus. Ruth, the receptionist, was very kind and helpful. I would gladly come back and can highly recommend this accommodation.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a lovely tree-filled view and many pleasant surprises (a washing machine!), and the off-season price was a bargain.
