I checked out a couple of other places before deciding to stay at Casa Llemo because of the welcoming atmosphere from the first moment and I'm so glad I did. Julio and his family go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you get everything you need, but they always give you enough privacy as well. The rooms are clean, the water is hot and the meals are home cooked, delicious and cheap. They can also book different tours and shuttle for you and often have better connections or prices than what you find on the internet. Julio's hospitality went even beyond my stay. I had already left when a shuttle I had booked online canceled last minute. Because he had mentioned an alternative company to me before I called him pretty late, and even though I woke him up, he was so helpful and managed to book a shuttle for me and save my trip! Thank you! I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

We could not have had a better experience staying here. Domingo the host was the most accommodating, offering help any way he could and really elevated our 5 day stay. The house itself was in a perfect location: close to all the main in in San Juan la Laguna, while remaining just off the beaten path. The house and rooms were plentiful and spacious, and the rooftop terrace out of this world. We were 7 people and felt like we had more than enough space. We had so much fun staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat. San Juan La Laguna is a beautiful town with real heart surrounded by gorgeous mountains and inhabited by generous, interesting people. If you are thinking of coming to Lake Atitlan, I could not recommend enough staying in San Juan enough. And Casa Elenita only exceeded any expectation we had.

L’accueil de Gerson est extraordinaire. Il est aux petits soins et de très bons conseils. Ce lieu vient d’ouvrir et on ressent déjà quelque chose de merveilleux. On est aux premières loges pour les levers de soleil. La literie est excellente. Tout est fait avec des choses et écologiques et c’est tellement bien pensé et joliment présenté que l’on s’y sent bien tout de suite. Merci pour ce lieu au pied de l’indien nose et les pieds dans l’eau 🙏

Doté d'un jardin et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l'Amankaya Atitlan est une maison d'hôtes récemment rénovée située à Cerro de Oro, à 18 km du volcan Atitlan. The house was very spacious with a full kitchen for use. Would recommend stocking up on groceries prior to reaching the home. The view was stellar and the house was on a tranquil and serene portion of the lake.

Beautiful sunken living room, awesome kitchen, totally clean and well equipped. A great library. Great management. Veronica is a great manager always looking out for the guests. This place is a gem. The rooms are big , with high ceilings the beds are comfortable. Warm.

Beautiful view and location in a nice area on Lake Atitlan. Clemens was a great host and assisted in arranging private lanchas for arrival and departure. The kitchen facilities are nice to have and it is good to follow the suggestion to buy groceries in Panajachel before coming to the house. It is a very private location. Especially enjoyed the hammock and watching sunrises and sunsets from the porch.
