Set within 1.2 km of Killing Caves of Phnom Sampeau and 12 km of Banan Temple in Battambang, Family Batcave Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. Saro (the host) was so wonderful andaccommodating! The place itself is also beautiful and rustic. Breakfast is available for free and dinner is $5 and completely worth it. When I was there, everyone staying shared both meals, which created a wonderful sense of camaraderie. Saro took me to the bat cave personally and showed me around Phnom Sampeu. (He also knows secret places for good photos and bat viewing.) He also arranged a day tour with an English-speaking tuktuk driver and made sure I could see a spot that wasn't on the usual itinerary. The room itself was a private one room bamboo bungalow - simple, but comfortable and a good new experience. It had a mattress, mosquito net, fan, light, and working electrical outlet, which is really all you need. Also, I was welcomed with a plate of fresh fruit and given the chance to try frogs, cruckets, and Cambodian beers after dinner. This is a special place and one of the highlights of visiting Cambodia. If you are looking for a real homestay or something different from the usual hotel/hostel experience, this is your place in Battambang. Highly, highly recommended.

Located in Battambang, 1.7 km from Colonial Buildings and 1.8 km from Battambang Museum, Bun Homestay provides air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Our room was incredibly clean and spacious and had everything we need. Bun and his family were so helpful and so kind, we felt at home immediately. We also booked a half day tour with them, which we enjoyed immensely. The breakfast was so filling and yummy, and we had a couple lunches they offer on the property, which we also recommend, it was very affordable and delicious. Overall I highly recommend staying here, it was by far one of our favorite stays on our trip. Thanks Bun and family for the amazing hospitality 😊

The take care of me and let me experience their local life during Khmer New Year. It was a wonderful trip! I highly recommend you to come here If you'd like to see the beautiful countryside view in Cambodia.

The owners are nice and give helpful advice. The room was spacious, clean and although in a rural part, there were no mosquitos :)

We loved this place and was our first homestay! The family is just amazing that runs it and so kind and warm. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. The open spaces on the property are fabulous and feels like a home away from home:) I love the couple that runs it as they care about the people that stay there and everyone appears to love it. We stayed four days and was hard to leave. The Tuk tours are fabulous so don’t miss them. A true gem of a place and we enjoyed the walk into town and prefer being a little bit out. The food is good too! Best stay on our five week trip! 🇨🇦
