We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Sokcho & Guesthouse ligger i Sokcho, 2,4 km fra Sokcho Expo Park, og tilbyder værelser med aircondition. We had a great stay in Sokcho, thanks to the welcoming and calm atmosphere of the guesthouse! Judith is such a nice person, it was great to chat with her and she gave us lot of recommandations. Everything was super clean and convenient, the breakfast is good and the beds comfy. You can also easily reach both the beach and the Seoraksan park. Definitely recommend staying here if you come to Sokcho!

Casa Seorak is a really beautiful and peaceful place in a very convenient location if you're willing to explore the Seoraksan National Park. The host is very nice, speaks great English and as soon as we arrived provided us with a lot of information about what to see in Sockho, where to eat and on the trekking options we had at the Seoraksan park. The rooms are very spaceous, they have a kitchen and a table where the breakfast is served in the morning. The bed is also very comfortable.

The location is great, just a minute walk to the beach. The view, especially sunrise, was incredible. The studio is on the 17th of 20 floors. The studio has a full-size refrigerator and stove top. There was also a microwave. The big washer and dryer in the room was a big plus. I used Google translate to figure out the settings with no problem. There is a 7/11 attached to the building. There are many restaurants within a short walk. There is a bus stop about a 1 minute walk.

Scenery after Rain ligger i Yangyang, 600 m fra Gaesmaeul Strand, og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis cykler, gratis privat parkering og have. truly amazing. soothing and the owner was exceptionally kind. the rooms were clean and truly zen. my biggest regret was not staying longer.

Fine and You Ocean City ligger i Donghae, 200 m fra Hanseom Strand og mindre end 1 km fra Gamchu Strand, og har have og havudsigt. Great small apartment right near the beach and 3 blocks from busy town area. You can cook and do laundry in the room and the hotel also has great coin laundry. The renter was quick to answer all our calls and concerns. I could rave about the beach boardwalk at night too. It helps to speak Korean at the local restaurants.
