Lovely setting in a beautiful homestay environment. It was very peaceful sitting in their beautiful garden, and the orchestra of frogs in the evening was a delight. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. Dimu and his wife were so genuine and lovely, and the curries were delicious. Dimu organised a safari tour with Sumudu as our guide. Sumudu's knowledge and respect for the animals was very much appreciated. We saw many wild elephants, Sambur deer (very rare), deer, wild boar, golden jackals, Buffalo, crocodiles, peacocks, monitor lizards, mongoose and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for an amazing stay, Dimu!

The offered safari was informative and Santha (host+safari guide) was knowledgeable about all the animals in the park. He also drove closer to them than other drivers. Overall a very nice stay + an insane safari, would come again!

Located in Udawalawe, 10 km from Udawalawe National Park, Forest Edge Safari Villa provides air-conditioned rooms and a garden. The safari with Suresh was excellent and good value for a four hour trip. Janith was the perfect host, communicative without being pushy and very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was also very delicious.

Located 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Mango Tree House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. A continental breakfast is available daily at the guesthouse. Marvelous garden and cozy bungalows (a special touch is the private bathroom, which is in the open). The owners are a gorgeous young couple, extremely kind and attentive. Was a pleasure to have a chat with them. Here we also had one of the best dinner in Sri Lanka.

Nice cottage house on a quiet street. The host was very nice, we bought a safari tour through him and a taxi to our next location. Also, we ate at his restaurant and it was good authentic food. Our room had AC and bathtub + outdoor shower.

Hosts do everything they can to respond to clients expectations. They organize Udawalawe safari using their own jeep. During the safari we saw the great variety of animals - many elephants, crocodiles, various kinds of monkeys, birds, deers, turtle and lizard. Moreover the hosts wife cooks really tasty. The dinner and breakfast (take away during the safari) was diverse and delicious.

Staff were fantastic and provided everything we needed (including the safari). The room was bigger and better than the photos. The food was delicious, dinners were a treat. The pool was a nice touch also and we got to see some beautiful fireflies while swimming at night. Highly recommend staying here.
