The area was very quiet and around 20 minute walk into the centre of town, or around a $10 taxi. Jan was so lovely and provided us with some excellent advice and information on the local area. We could not recommend her place enough!

It was a very pleasant staying in Taiparoro House in Tauranga. You cannot imagine a better place to stay there! The room was very nice and cozy, The house itself is a living history - it was built in 19th century and you can still feel that it's old and unique. The hosts - Penny and Ian are very nice and helpful people. They serve continental breakfast and it's most delicious breakfast I had - including croissants, vegetables, fruits, toasts, good quality muesli and many more! I strongly recommend you to stay in this place!
