The views from this property are just beautiful! We got lucky to have a couple of very clear days and from the hilltop property you could see the mountains and lake in the distance. Our hosts were super nice and accommodating and cooked us a great breakfast each day. One of the days they even got up early to make us breakfast at 6:30am before we left for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. It's a great central location very close to Taupo but also not far from Rotorua, Turangi, and the Tongariro National Park. A nice touch is that the shower enclosure contains the steam so the bathroom mirror doesn't get all foggy. And there's a heated rack for the towels so they dry quickly. The small touches do make a difference. Another great thing about the property is the owner's 3 friendly Labrador Retrievers. One of them loved playing fetch and I think she could do it all day long. We also got to feed their sheep and deer in the morning, not something you get to do every day!
