The owner Cecilia was super nice, a street dog bite me, and she without hesitate not even a second .offered herself to take me to the emergency room, the the staff there didn't want to take care of me, then she took me.to another place, spending a lot of her time waiting for someone to clean the wound. The hostel is well decorated.and all staff.are.very nice. I will definitely came back. Thanks Cecilia!!

Featuring a vegetarian restaurant, Kapievi Ecovillage offers accommodations in Puerto Maldonado. The property is a 15-minute car ride from the city's main square. This stay felt more like spending time with family and friends than actually staying in a "hotel". The food was so delicious, all vegan and/or vegetarian. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, ALL OF THEM!! :D Free water. The room is just amazing, comfortable bed, good Wifi, nice bathroom. Loved to do my yoga sessions on the balcony with a nice nature view. Easy to organize tours through them. The pool was clean and refreshing. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoy more time here, it's wonderful. Hopefully I can come back one day! Good luck with everything and thanks for making my 5-day stay absolutely fantastic...

Such an amazing relaxed place, we have had a really good time here. Comfy beds, everything clean, and the pool was very nice to cool off. Drinking coffee watching the sun rise at the balcony in the morning also was a highlight. We loved the beautiful garden with his dog, the chickens and the neighbor cat. Elmer and his family are so friendly, and they are willing to help with anything. He even arranged and gave us a Lago Yacumama tour, and we had a campfire our last night. It is a small drive from the city (we had a car), but Tuktuks regularly pass by and there are taxi's. I hope I get the chance to come back in the future!

They expained us a lot about plants which grow around there house. The kitchen is well equipped and has all you need. It's nice to hang around in the frontjard and relax a little.

This was our second stay at Tronco Tambopata, and it felt like coming back home. We were so warmly received and hosted, and only wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were super friendly once again. Highly recommended!

Located a 15-minute drive from the bus terminal, Passiflora Camp offers accommodations in Puerto Maldonado. A complimentary Continental breakfast is served daily. I rate this place 10+. Eduardo and his spouce are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The place is like a paradise and I recommend you to take at least a few days here. Delicious and fulfilling breakfast too. Eduardo will be happy to help you arrange tours. The distance from Puerto Maldonado is perfect so that you can experience the true jungle feeling, specially at night, but still doesn't feel too remote. Tuktuk can be arranged for a modest 15soles, very worth it. Also, if you are interested in a ceremony, Alberto is your go-to guy. Highly recommended!
