Il Quinta Vilar e Almarde offre sistemazioni in stile rustico a Castelo de Paiva. The owners could not have been kinder. The lady had my heart as you can tell she loves her property and her garden. This property was like a hidden oasis. It was perfect in every way with an exceptional shower and lots of hot water! We would love to visit again sometime!

The food at this restaurant was outstanding! The best food I have had in Portugal and I have lived here for a year. We will definitely go bac!!

Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

L'intero staff è stato incredibile, la cena e la colazione fatta con prodotti locali ricchissima e molto gustosa! La terrazza affacciata tra le meravigliose vigne del Douro una location affascinantissima! Torneremo sicuramente per un nuovo soggiorno in uno dei posti più romantici in cui mi sono sentita a casa! L'alloggio era pulitissimo, ben organizzato e c'era tutto il necessario! La proprietaria è molto gentile e ci ha fornito tutto quello di cui avevamo bisogno per il nostro bimbo di 18 mesi. La posizione dell'alloggio è molto bella, immerso nel verde con vista su campi di mandorli e ulivi e vicinissimo al Museo Côa dove c'è un ristorante dove si mangia benissimo!

The apartment is beautifully renovated. It was comfortable and convenient to shops, parks, and historic sites. It is very well equipped for self-catering with all modern equipment. The washing machine was really appreciated, as was the fresh fruit and sweets... a very nice touch! The terrace was a bonus! Carlos was quick to communicate, and it seems he really cares for his guests. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz, a property with a bar, is set in Lamego, 1.4 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 16 km from Douro Museum, as well as 36 km from Natur Waterpark. This little house is just that, everything is there, but small. The way it is organized, however makes it very comfortable for a base of visiting the town. You can make your breakfast in the morning and take off to see the local sights and everything is close. You can actually see the top of the Sanctuary (with all the steps) from the windows. It is quiet and the bed is comfy. Our bus didn't leave till mid afternoon and the hosts let us stay an extra couple hours-thanks.
