With mountain views, Hortensias Chalets Vara blanca is set in Heredia and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. The room was comfy, it was a little cabin, it even had a small heater really nice 👍 The restaurant was good, you can eat there or ask them to take it to your room, something to remark is that most of the restaurants close between 17 and 20 hours, they do have the kitchen open till 20:30..

Yatama Rainforest Ecolodge is located at the middle elevations of the Costarican rainforest, known as Horquetas de Sarapiqui. This rural community is full of activities and lush tropical gardens. What a wonderful place! Absolutely in the middle of nowhere. Far away from the crowded places at the border of the Braulo Carillo National Park. Enjoy pure Costa Rican jungle with just a few others, no mass tourism here. The staff; Pedro, Luis and Alba are really great people who want to give you the best time ever. The cabins are basic but sufficient and are located in the middle of the jungle. The meals where delicious and Alba really did a great job with the food. Luis en Pedro guided some great night tours through the jungle. I sure will be back in the future.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. Fantastic property, absolutely beautiful top to bottom, wonderful staff and good food. can wait to go back! Be prepared for many, many stairs.

Offering garden views, La Cabaña is an accommodation situated in Heredia, 16 km from Poas National Park and 6.5 km from La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Great house, with beautiful view. Check-in was easy with keys in a locker, easy access, great location close to Poas and La Paz.

Offering a garden and garden view, Deluxe boutique lodge is situated in Vara Blanca, 6.2 km from La Paz Waterfall Gardens and 7.6 km from La Paz Waterfall. The Deluxe Boutique Lodge was perfect in so many ways. We booked this location to be close to Poas National Park and La Paz Waterfall Garden. It was 20 minutes to one and 10 to the other. Walter met us at the property even though due to weather and construction we were about an hour late. He also became our lifesaver that day. Again, due to weather, a family member was delayed arriving into San Jose. Walter volunteered to drive down to San Jose and pick her up. The property is located on the main road into the small village of Vara Blanca, walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Lodge is super clean and very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable, the WIFI very good and the huge TV was a welcome diversion during the stormy weather. We do not hesitate to recommend this property

Set in Barrio Jesús in the Heredia region and Poas National Park reachable within 39 km, Bungalows Sanlaz offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking. It was quiet, had a pool. Comfortable lodgings. Wish we had booked a extra night.

Juan and Miguel super nice guys , very friendly and caring Great to have our 3 dogs with us , place is very safe for them Cabin is closed to downtown so food or any goods are really near Place closed to a nice river
