Visa or Mastercard is not widely accepted at all places. and some shops only take Cash but does not have change for larger notes that the ATM's give you.
the Beach front restaurants mostly do take Visa/Mastercard and most CBD hotels. but the further you stay/travel outside Luanda most places only take cash(small notes) and local bank cards.

A normal, chaotic big African city - more expensive than most. Relatively safe to walk around downtown during the day; take care at night. If you need to be there for business, it's better than many 3rd world cities. For tourism, not much to see/do in Luanda. Airports are normal: Completely chaotic

Roads improved a lot . City is relatively clean.
Roads improved a lot . City is relatively clean. You can find good restaurants along the seaside. Taxis are not easy to find so better book a driver. Before arrival it is better to book transfer with a hotel. Airport taxis can be very expensive.
Newly opened hotel and had an excellent experience. The facilities are top-notch and brand new, providing a fresh and modern atmosphere. The staff were incredibly dedicated and well-trained, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The restaurant offered delicious and well-prepared dishes, making each meal a delight. Overall, it was an outstanding stay, and I highly recommend this hotel.
All most everything, Hotel is well located and has a beachfront nice hotel with, staff are very friendly and helpful, in special a gentleman at reception Eode Miguel, has an excellent customer service with smile in is face, I think he deserve a pay rise for is dedication and hard work.
Whenever you visit Angola- Luanda ask for Miguel at reception.
I stayed at this hotel for a mini honeymoon, staff was friendly and the room was big and comfortable, I spent most of my time out so I didn't get to enjoy everything else. The breakfast is generous in my opinion. Unfortunately, the pool was in maintenance during our stay.
friendliness of Lady managing the hotel. highly visible and always willing to offer help. catering staff polite and excellent in their service. Security personnel always around to ensure safety while I waited outside for ly vehicle to come pick me
This was one of those rare experiences with budget accommodation in Africa where everything worked, the host was great, the space was comfortable, the airport transfer was on time, and it could not have gone better!
Hotel decor with all the art work, the comfortable rooms and the friendly staff. Also loved that the dining room was set up family style, so you get to meet the other guests
I like the location is very close to Sagrada familia and city center
There's a decent restaurant as part of the hotel and surrounding area
The room (king) was spacious
Very good stay at Casas de Luanda. The staff is very welcoming and gentle. The breakfast is really nice. The place is also very quiet which I appreciated.
Location is probably the best in Luanda, its expensive, however that is expected in Luanda. Breakfast is outstanding and a shortage of nothing. Very good
