Welcome reception was good. Breakfast was great also. It's probably one of the best breakfasts. I have had a hotel in a long time. My only recommendation would be to add Turkey sausage for people who don't eat pork. (Me)

There were a lot of little extras that we didn't know about, which were nice. There was an air fryer and toaster oven. There was drip coffee grinds, tea bags, carton of milk and butter. The beds, pillows and love seat were super comfortable. The linens for sleeping and showering were very clean and fresh. The layout was really cute!

Edward is an amazing person, very helpful and nice, enjoyed talking to him.
The bed is comfortable and the room is big enough for all the purposes (I had a big luggage and need to go though it)
Location is nice a quite. If you have a car it’s comfortable to go to Toronto as well as other side.

Everything was excellent in my opinion.
1. Location is good about 5 minutes drive from the go station and there are restaurants nearby.
2. The room is spacious with big windows. It is clean to my satisfaction. Bathroom and closet are well cleaned, towels provided feel fresh. Additionally, there are ironing board, iron, hair dryer, soaps, conditioners, shampoo, made me feel at home.
3. TV worked properly, netflix available, so helping spend time without being bored. Wifi connections is high speed. Although TV is too small for the room not providing a great viewing experience from the bed.
4. The host is fast responsive (from my past stays - as I did not have to communicate them during this stay) and provided helpful suggestions on parking.
5. Check in and checkout process is very quick and easy.
6. Big house comes with big kitchen and backyard.
Ajax is one of the four cities in the Durham Region just...
Ajax is one of the four cities in the Durham Region just east of Toronto. Depending on traffic on highway 401, you can drive to, for example, Toronto Zoo in about 20 Minutes. In the east-west direction there are also trains (GO and Via Rail) available for day trips (e.g. to Toronto). You can enjoy the beaches and Marinas along Lake Ontario from Oshawa to Scarborough, which are also accessible with public transport (city buses which connect all four Durham cities); however, using your own car is a lot faster. Some beaches, like Lakeview Beach in Oshawa, also have life guards on duty (particularly during tourist season and on weekends). We reached this beach by car via the 401 in about 10 minutes (starting from our hotel in Ajax). All Durham cities have a selection of excellent restaurants. Just ask locals for recommendations. And for shopping enthusiasts, there are lots of big shopping malls. Most beaches were open during the time we stayed in Ajax despite restrictions during the pandemic (which were just being lifted at that time in mid-August). If you look thoroughly during your trip planning you will also find hotels that fit your budget.

Beautiful park along the lake to walk.
Beautiful park along the lake to walk. We were there for fall so the colours were just amazing! It's a great place to sleep when visiting Toronto: the prices are lower, the parking is free and it isn't too far from the city.

I didn't see much of Ajax but what I did see I was happy with.
I went to a nearby Mall not far from Super 8 hotel where we were able to buy groceries an alcohol to make on stay at Super 8 even more comfortable
And enjoyable
Location! The hotel is easy to find and, situated in Ajax, close to highway 401 and alternative east-west roads, all tourist attractions in the Durham region and Toronto are within easy reach. If you travel with kids the near-by (in Oshawa with life guard on duty) beaches and (also in Oshawa) summer activities for the little ones (Chuck E. Cheese's) will make your stay very exciting for the little people. Very attentive sercurity at the hotel, who phoned us at night in the room when he found that one window in our car was left open
As I was having trouble with the heating, they had moved me to another room. Once I got there same issue. When speaking with manager he told me, I’m in the room and I’m not cold. How can you say something like that to a customer especially after explaining my concern? I felt very dismissed and didn’t really get the help I need. Ended up checking out and finding a new hotel. They staff needs to have better communication and respect for all the customers who stay at this hotel.
The hotel and room were nicely decorated. The bedroom was really spacious with comfy beds and we were ok with the smaller living area and the kitchen. Having the two tvs was very nice. Having the fridge, dishwasher and microwave were great! I was happy there was a stove top, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Everything we requested was brought to the room in a timely manner. Staff were nice and having the breakfast was nice as well, egg whites would have made it great 😊
we had chosen this hotel because it was a bit outside of Toronto and therefore not so expensive; to downtown (CN Tower) about 30 minutes by car; directly on the highway, but still quietly located; large, free parking space in front of the hotel; stores and restaurants not far away; we recommend the Italian restaurant Il Fornello on Kingston Road; we enjoyed the breakfast with porcelain dishes! (not least because it is good for the environment)
We chose a 2 bedroom suite. We drove from out of town for a family wedding. The location of the hotel was perfect, minutes from both the 401 & the venue. The room was huge and very clean. The beds were super comfy. We had plenty of room for 5 of us to get ready for the wedding thanks to the 2 bathrooms & large kitchen & living room area. The free breakfast in the morning was an added bonus. A perfect stay!
Large, comfortable, clean room with a very nice in-house restaurant where we enjoyed cocktails in the evening and breakfast the next day. We were very impressed with the friendly competent staff! The hotel has very easy access from the 401. We left an item in our room and the staff was incredibly helpful by communicating with us and sending the item immediately.
I stayed for two nights with three of my grandchildren. The hotel was clean. The staff was very pleasant. The location was great. It was close to the Go train station for us to get to downtown Toronto to see the Harry Potter Play, and only 15 minute drive to the zoo. All and all a great mini vacation!
The property is very quiet, very clean, with everything we needed. Helen, the landlord was very accommodating and very respectful of our privacy.
If ever in need of a place to stay in this area, I would definitely come back. Don’t let the basement deter you. it doesn’t feel like a basement at all.
Will definitely return! This hotel was so clean! When we got to the room, one of our lightbulbs was flickering, I called front desk and within 5 minutes the issue was fixed. 10/10 stay for sure. And that’s hard to get from me! :)
The most charming and welcoming place I’ve ever stayed! We were welcomed like family and treated like royalty. The food was fresh, delicious and presented exquisitely. We will ALWAYS stay here when we return to the area!
Nice location in quiet area with no traffic noise. Very comfortable and cozy apartment equipped with everything we needed. Great TV with tons of streaming options (Netflix & Co). Great host.
The property at the Pickering location was beautiful. Got the whole house to myself, good space I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend and book again no questions asked!!!
