I liked the authenticity and history of the house. The room is small, but comfortable and clean. There is a kitchen in the courtyard where water, fruit and snacks are offered - thank you! A kettle and a microwave, no other cooking options. Perfect location, you can park in the street or in a cheap carpark up the street. Walking distance to Galdar or even natural pools - 30 min.
Boasting garden views, Villa Almagre features accommodation with a patio, around 40 km from Parque de Santa Catalina.

The property felt very safe and secure. There were beautiful views and the outside space was perfect for sitting having a meal, lounging in the sun, a dip in the pool or coffee on chairs.
The owner was very helpful and kind. The house is decorated really nicely too.
Offering city views, Casa Las Gayarminas is an accommodation set in Gáldar, 27 km from Parque de Santa Catalina and 80 metres from Cueva Pintada Museum.
Gáldar is a more traditional town to stay in. The streets are tight like an old Spanish town should be. The center square is busiest in late morning and early evening. The square has many restaurants to try for Spanish/Canarian traditional fare. The location is easy access to the main road to other locations on the island. The best part is not being a tourist location where there are too many people. One suggestion is to touch up on your Spanish before going because there are fewer multi-lingual speakers in this town.
We would go again to this town.

A very nice little town at the north-western part of the island, close to the sea and quite far form the touristic crowds. Very beautiful nature, close to astonishing nature park. Perfect place for people who prefer nature and culture.

Galdar is the old capital of Gran Canaria.
Galdar is the old capital of Gran Canaria. It has beautiful historic buildings and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere away from the main tourist sights. The main reason we wanted to stay in this part of the island was the see the archeological excavations revealing the original dwellings and the famous cave painting. The museum/site is modern and the guided tour is well worth booking.

Worth visiting. The former capital of the island.
Worth visiting. The former capital of the island. Santiago Apóstol Church, market square, town hall with a charming theater hall (!). Archaeological Museum, which is basically the archaeological site of Cueva Pintada. Ha, ha... and the cherry on the cake. Those traveling by car will find the parking lot by entering "Aparcamiento La Quinta" in the navigation system.

Galdar is a pleasant little town, with a nice historic center. About 2.5 km from El Agujero, which is quite a tolerable walk among banana plantations in good weather, but it is better to go there by car.

40 minutes drive from Airport and 25 mins from Las Canteras and 10 minutes from Agaete with all its restaurants and supermarket facilities.
Beautiful coastal road with stunning sunsets and dramatic sea views from the apartment. Views of Santa Cruz and Mount Teide from the balcony are wonderful.
The apartment is spacious, has everything we needed and is close to the beach. You will find a mini market in front of the house and restaurants nearby. Thanks to plenty of parking spaces, it is a great base to explore the north east of Gran Canaria. We recommend going to Agaete and Galdar for museums, el Roque for a unique settlement on a rock between crushing waves, and going to the nearby nature reserves on the mountain for hiking.
This hotel is in a great location, right next to the church and at the main square, everything is close by. The personnel is very nice, they even let me check in early when the room was ready. The room itself was spacious and well-decorated. The little pool on the roof is great to cool off in and the roof terrace was nice and sunny. The breakfast is the most elaborate I have ever seen and it was all equally good!
Nicolas the owner was outstanding from start to finish drove us to the shop when we arrived to pick up what we needed.also everyday helped with taxis places to eat everything he was perfect.the villa itself was outstanding the gardens and pool area were amazing Galdar it self was a beautiful little village with lovely food all in all perfect holiday we love you sir Nicolas thanks again nikoletta and the boys
Very friendly and helpful owner/manager.
Seafront location is great with large picture window in the living room giving a spectacular sea view of the Atlantic rollers and the surfers.
Sea water swimming pool right outside and sandy beach about 200m away.
Fast 5G internet wifi included.
Peaceful location with only one bar and one restaurant on the see front.
Pretty town of Galdar is 30 minute walk away.
The room and the bathroom are separated from the rest of the house, which makes you feel like you have a little apartment for yourself. From Gáldar we took trips to visit the centre of the island, therefore we really liked the fridge in the room to store our drinks and sandwiches for the trips. The owner is friendly and always ready to help.
Good location near city center Galdar. Parking area on road and also big paid near by. There are at least 4 rooms. Cozy and stylish decorated . Possible to cook if needed. Some snack for breakfast, fruits, tea, coffee etc. Very nice.
Key box to get in.
The house was nice and it was very spacious. It was perfect for a big family to spend Christmas and New Years. The area was great, far away from tourists. The best place was opposite the house, a little local tavern. We had a great time in Galdar
The view from the window was amazing and waking up to the sound of the waves crashing is superb. Great swimming in nearby seapool and good restaurant close by. Very quiet. Not too far from Galdar itself re shopping, bars, food etc
Located in the centre, but in the house you have plenty of rest. We are a couple so had all the space we want but also for more people the place is great. The terrace on the roof is perfect. We loved our stay in galdar.
Location was nice, right on the main square of a small historical town. The hotel has lovely decor in both the communal spaces and the rooms. Breakfast was nice and eggs were made to order which was a nice touch.
Very nice place in the center of the nice city of Galdar. It was very clean and the personnel very kind. Convenient parking close to the hotel for 1eur/5h, but not marked on maps.
Beautiful hotel with good quality room, comfortable bed and great breakfast. We were able to enjoy the chill out terrace at night, the staff was very friendly and profesional.
