Location is smacked in the mid segment, and its a beautiful rural place full of character. We were a couple but due to unavailability of the double rooms, ended up splitting into two single rooms, but aside from paying a bit more, the rooms were very adequate and comfortable. We ended up having lunch there as the rooms were not ready when we arrived, and dinner, as there is practically nowhere else to go. Breakfast was included. Wifi could have been better.

We didn't stay in Portomarin, we kept walking for a few kilometers.
Hosteria de Gonzar was an oasis right on the Camino's main path.
Took off our shoes, put on the flip flops and enjoyed the very nice food, the garden, the laundry service and the nice clean room. Staff were very polite and helpful, thank you for that!
Recharged in the evening and off we went the next day!
