Location and set up was great for family with kids

Loved the surrounding area (with the alpacas). The room & bed were both super comfortable to stay in. Really enjoyed all the little touches in the decor and the services provided (cake in the afternoon, breakfast was amazing, great recommendations of nearby restaurant, the mini bar had tons of options). Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very close to the deepest lake in England - would definitely come back and stay here!

Did the job, cute wee room above a traditional Cumbrian pub. Great place to stay if you also want to enjoy some real ales and Cumbrian food. The staff were all lovely and it had good heating (not always the case in these parts). The breakfast the next day was tasty and served in front of a roaring fire.

Excellent customer service from the staff members. The facilities, room, kitchen, bathroom. Etc were all kept nice and clean. We grabbed a frozen pizza on the way and made use of one of the two ovens they had. Kitchen has most the equipment and utensils required to make your own however we opted for the cooked breakfast and pie and mash supper the following day - both lovely.

Beautiful location, cute traditional farmhouse- hosts were super friendly & lovely & recommended an incredible walk & dipping location nearby. Slept like a LOG full of red wine, Cumberland sausage & mash & thanking my lucky stars I got to see this place.
