Although the property was off the beaten track, it was a beautiful cottage with stunning views as you travel to it. Hosts were excellent communicators before we arrived and came to introduce themselves just after arrival.
There were unexpected extras awaiting us, tea, coffee, biscuits, bread and butter, which were very much appreciated.
The property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need.
WiFi was good but hardly any phone signal as indicated before we arrived.
I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay in the area 10/10.

The cottages was very nice clean and presentable, however the bed was not very good. Toilet handle wasn't the best, so that needed fixing. But overall the cottage was nice. However after paying for breakfast, I was completely disappointed. Firstly the breakfast is buffet style, OK no big problem, yet it seems they just cooked everything for breakfast for the amount of people who were having breakfast. And just left out under hot lamps, which is not a good thing as breakfast starts from 7.30am so I booked for 8.30am, and you can tell it had been sat there for a while.scrambled eggs crusting over and spliting which I would have thought that being an establishment of quality these should have been made at least the correct way. Coffee machine on the fritz so only half cups. Everything about breakfast was just barely not even warm, so very disappointed the only good thing about the breakfast was the little individual packets of butter. Now it was not the most expensive breakfast I've paid for, but I could certainly get better out of dobbies garden centre. The day of my check in there was a wedding so no bar no restaurant so had to go out to the local pub, which was recommended by the very nice young lady on reception. Over all very disappointing.

A great two night stay at a very well appointed hotel. The staff was amazing, the room excellent and the breakfast delicious. Enough secure parking at the back of the hotel, which was situated in the heart of the town. A lovely old building, maintained to a very high standard.

Being chased for payment of dinner tab when I had retired in my room, when I had offered to pay earler was rude and off putting. This appears to be because there would be no staff in the morning to take payment which I discovered when I turned up to breakfast to find staff were not in until 10am and I was leaving just after 8am for a conference. So disappointing. A comfortable roof over my head for one night but otherwise just the bare bones of a service. Evening meal was good and tasty but vegetarian option was tiny portion. All in all, I left feeling hungry.
