Gosport is pleasant.
Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas. We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good. The apartment was within walking distance of the Gosport passenger ferry which takes you Portsmouth harbour.

Lots of historical buildings and a marvellous panorama of the harbour. Victualling Yard and the Submarine Alliance worth a visit, also the Explosion Museum plus a local history section in the Gosport Library very interesting.

We had a three course dinner at the hotel which was excellent. Food was plentiful, hot and delivered timely. We all had the full English buffet breakfast the following which included all items in the continental selection. Sausages and fried bread was great!

The parking spot at the rear of the building is made for English cars 😁 or foreign drivers with parking skills🤭. But it is yours and very safe. The view from the chamber was very nice, the sea framed with trees. The staff was very vriendly. Besides the weekend the restaurant is closed but there are plenty of options within reach. From Gosport a small ferry crosses to Portsmouth.
