Very helpful staff who helped us store our bikes safely and ran down the street after us when we had left something behind.

To be fair we didn't spend much time in Harleston.
To be fair we didn't spend much time in Harleston. We just used it as a base to visit relatives who live nearby and to explore the broader area. It therefore met our needs perfectly and was good value.

Excellent town with lots of character.
Excellent town with lots of character. Fine old Georgian and older buildings. Lots of different shops and bakeries. Some twee shops and some for essentials. Nice walks around. Bit of a market on Wednesday. Couple of really nice pubs with decent beer that we found - JD Youngs and the Cap. Can quite easily get to other picturesque towns nearby.

Hadn't been to this small town before but having had a quick walk around in the morning before we left, it would have been nice to see the shops open. Lots of bespoke places, nice tea rooms/cafes and so on.

I really liked Harleston , I am looking to relocate and I think I would be quite happy in this town. It has such character, lovely old buildings, great small shops, cafes etc. I had a curry in the restaurant there and it was fabulous. Friendly people and very dog friendly . Not too far from the beautiful coast , and surrounded by wonderful countryside. What’s not to like??? Also- plenty of free parking !
We knew the house was going to be amazing but it far exceeded expectations - it was just stunning, every room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Well stocked with everything we needed and more, it was just the perfect base for our hen party weekend. It felt like we had a boutique hotel all to ourselves. Jonathan was very helpful and responsive. Already trying to think of an excuse to book again!
The breakfasts were excellent, as was the dinner we had on the first night. The owner and his team were very hard working, helpful, friendly and made us all (9 friends on their annual re-union) feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location, in the centre of a lovely little town, situated in beautiful countryside.
Absolutely amazing little gem fantastic renovated barn to a very high standard The room and facilities where just what we paid for and the breakfast was everything we needed.
Within driving distance from bungay and Harleston and highly recommended the fleece inn at bungay for a meal out.
Lovely and helpful couple to make our weekend so enjoyable
Excellent location in the center of the village. The hotel was beautifully decorated and clean. Breakfast was delicious and more food than we could consume. Staff were friendly and polite and went above and beyond. When my daughter asked if they had Weetabix, Beth, the manager, went out and bought a box for her.
Location spot on
Room was quirky and enough space, good size bathroom
Wasn't cleaned, just a fresh bottle of water put in,leaving dirty cups
Went for breakfast waitress run off her feet,
Not too good food,
Could not tell you who run the hotel or anything as never saw anyone to speak to except to order food.
Lovely old fashioned hotel, no frills and lots of history. Amazing Elizabethan (?) staircase and courtyard. Simple rooms and very comfy. Robin (owner) cooks a great breakfast and even gave us a lift several miles down the road when we couldn't find a taxi! Absolute gentleman and a rare breed.
Great base for us for a holiday to Norfolk. We were visiting relatives in the area but the house was also also within an hour of the Norfolk Broads and the coast. The house was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely use again.
Lovely old hotel in the middle of Harleston. The room was a good size for three adults, beds were comforatble. Breakfast was brilliant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
Amazingly breakfast was quite good, lovely of old room, part of the age of the building..but quirky with ironing board being used in the breakfast area. What a shame the rest of the hotel was so grim
Location was chosen so we were close to our work. Hotel generally 'quirky' due to age. Rooms and bedding clean and tidy. Breakfast v.good. Staff friendly. Overall nice place to stay.
Friendly staff, lovely room and a nice ambience in the hotel, exceptional detail of cleaning, especially of high level cleaning which was obvious throughout the hotel.
Staff are excellent, customer service very good.
Bedrooms and the hotel all very clean. Lovely decor throughout really lovely restaurant. Food is plentiful.
