The staff were welcoming. The food was amazing and the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious.
Easy parking. Beautiful grounds. Lovely tea selection. We really enjoyed ending our day with a board game and a hot chocolate.
It made a wonderful base to explore the area. We could have easily stayed for a few more days.

Ipswich is a lovely place. We visited friends for a couple of days.
We went Inflata nation jump park in cardinal park. This was really good fun but expensive. The Cardinal park has many eating places and a huge cinema.

I was shocked how run down the town centre has become since my last visit quite some time ago. Internet shopping and large shopping malls on the outskirts probably contribute to the decline of town centers.

We were in Ipswich to watch the last championship match of the season at Portman Road.
We arrived on the Friday night and shared an amazing tomahawk steak at "The Grill At Twenty5" which had a lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff.
We watched the match on Saturday and spent the rest of the day soaking up the atmosphere with the wonderful Ipswich fans.
After sobering up and taking a break from the wonderful sun shine, we had our evening meal at Mariners in the marina which hosts a French restaurant on a restored 19th century boat with heaps of history and character.
We had to leave early on Sunday but would have loved to explorer further afield.
Will be back next season to see a premiership game (ticket permitting).

i liked Ipswich ,the town is small but with very nice old architecture from Tudor era, mix with Victorian style of course the moderns one are present there too. The coffee shop are the best you will remember Ipswich for this for a very long time. There is a park to visit which is very close to the centre. Suggestion: walk in the park visit the Christchurch Mansion Museum for free go to the top but when you come back take the streets along the park you will meet with beautiful, beautiful houses. In Ipswich you don't get lonely the people are very nice there , they are quick to know you and have a chat. Then there is Marina....a good place for a restaurant where you find different dishes from different countries. Then there is a football stadium too. There is lots to see around Ipswich. There are two important markets with bus station so from Cat Market I travel by bus to WoodBridge, Kersey and Felixstowe with best fish and chips etc the villages are one more appealing then other that I recommend you to visit.

Maybe we are not looking in the right places but our view of Ipswich is that of a run-down, sad town. Even the waterfront seems an unhappy place.
The nicest hotel-run restaurant we could find for breakfast by the waterfront was probably a lovely place at some point but was worn out and in desperate need of redecoration. We run away from Ipswich for the third time, to decompress in beautiful Suffolk countryside where there are dozens of nice, well looked after towns
I stayed a week in order to attend an event at nearby Trinity Park with my dog. I had an excellent stay - the staff, without exception, were the friendliest of any hotel I have ever stayed in - nothing was too much trouble. The room was a decent size and recently decorated and the bathroom appears new. Dogs are welcome in the bar area (where you can also choose to eat) and the breakfasts are fantastic. All in all, my dog and I were made to feel very welcome (and a special thank you to Maisie for the dog treats!)
Friendly welcome at reception, given all the information we might need, and room ready even though we were a couple of hours early for check in.
Nice hotel on the quay at Ipswich Marina. Comfortable room on first floor with views across the boats in the marina. Stayed two nights and managed, just, to get a space in the car park.
Food good in restaurant if a little pricey. Table service only for breakfast, but the offerings really only average.
All staff we met were helpful and efficient.
Great location. Near lots of eateries. Room options include lovely views over the quayside. Comfy bed. I like the quirky touches. Housekeeping staff, reception and bar staff were all very friendly and professional. I enjoyed having a drink served outside and the general vibe. I visit Ipswich a lot as I have friends and family there, and have wanted to treat myself to a stay at this hotel for some time.
We used the Carlton for a one night stop on our recent cycle tour. Fantastic value at £56 including continental breakfast. We had a good sized, airy en suite twin room on the second floor. The staff were very helpful with our bicycles and the hotel is generous with complimentary tea, coffee and milk etc. It is well placed for Ipswich town centre and we were all together very satisfied with our stay.
Everything the hotel, staff, food everyone from the cleaners who make the hotel spotless, the reception staff always go out their way to welcome you, the chefs create the most amazing food, the serving staff cannot do enough. The amazing cocktails are a must. Our favourite place Barr going into London. The hidden gem of Suffolk.
(Ben was his usual very helpful self 🆘, along with any, staff answering my questions I have had.)
(I know over 34,000 people 👭 on Social media,) All gained from just August 2022, until now, and I will only recommend The Easy Hotel 🏨 3-5 Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3BX 💕 to use when you're staying at the famous Ipswich!)
Exactly what was required. Super comfy and convenient. Considering the level of amenities this stay was excellent value for money. Nothing was too much, trouble - I was made to feel at home the whole time and I will be going back when I’m next in the area without a doubt. Thanks for a lovely stay.
This hotel is well located to where I work whilst in Ipswich which I find very convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is very good and well priced. I am also pleased by the private parking facilities and the pleasant and helpful staff.
The bar team are fantastic very nice people by for the best social area out of all of the hotels in Ipswich I’ve stay in them all but my first time here I should have stayed here first I would never have used the other. Brilliant hotel hats off to the owner
Parking on site was "if available" but we had no problems. I don't think that that that was mentioned until after we booked, bu it should have been. Probably your fault, not the hotel's. Room was good and staff very pleasant. Breakfast was good.
Owners were very helpful. There was parking for my motorcycle and they let me stay longer after official checkout time because the room was not booked on the day.
The hotel is fairly central. Perfect for a short stay.
The hotel was very well situated near the town centre and football ground. The room and breakfast were fine. No complaints. There is a good car park attached to the hotel.
The food at the Manor Restaurant was spectacular and the Staffs were very hospitable, they made us feel comfortable and I fell more in love with this hotel.
