The Peat Inn, nestled in the picturesque countryside of Fife, is a true gem for those seeking a luxurious and gastronomic experience.
Our stay in one of their exquisite split level suite was nothing short of exceptional. The tastefully decorated suite radiated elegance and provided all the necessary amenities for a relaxing and indulgent experience. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room was impressive, from the plush bedding to the opulent bathroom fixtures.
A major highlight of my stay was the delectable evening meal. The Peat Inn's Michelin-starred restaurant serves up culinary masterpieces that tantalize the taste buds and leave you craving for more. Each dish on the seasonal menu was beautifully presented and featured fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, showcasing the region's rich produce. The knowledgeable staff provided impeccable service and were always ready to offer insightful wine pairing recommendations to complement the exquisite flavors.
The breakfast was equally delightful, served in the comfort of my room. A lavish spread of fresh fruit, pastries, marmalade, honey and jams accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and tea made for a delightful start to the day.
Another noteworthy feature was the stunning garden view from the bedroom. The meticulously landscaped garden, adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, added an extra touch of charm to the already picturesque setting.
In conclusion, I highly recommend a stay at The Peat Inn for those seeking luxury accommodation and an unforgettable dining experience. This Fife treasure has mastered the art of combining refined elegance with warm hospitality, making it a truly memorable destination.

What a great weekend in a delightful venue. Great Hotel with all you need right on hand. The Hotel is split into Bar and restaurant next door with the accommodation through a separate door. Lovely room, good facilities and very clean with tea, coffee biscuits, water in a mini fridge. Great view and giant bed and TV. Restaurant next door was excellent and the food was amazing. Breakfast, well what a delight, great produce and a great variety of continental and cooked and plenty of it. So much that we did not need to eat all day again until late Dinner which again was delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff and what a great atmosphere in the bar during the day.

A grand country estate with lots of activities, great food. We ate twice both nights, food was delicious. All the staff were polite and friendly from Breakfast to Dinner. Didn't visit the pool this time but booked up for another stay so will go.
We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. Played on the Eden course and St. Micheals. Room was lovely, bed comfortable, liked the little reading light aswell as the lamp on the side of the bed .A little bit of luxury to have bathrobes.
Breakfast timings later than expected, was great to be able to have breakfast after 10 am.

We stayed in the woodcutters cottage for 2 nights.
We stayed in the woodcutters cottage for 2 nights. It is 2 bedroomed, one at either end of the cottage, both en-suite. A large sitting room and a separate kitchen with dining table and chairs. Plastic table and chairs outside in the small garden.
Parking is at the end of a path leading to the cottage. Finding the cottage was very difficult, the directions have you looking for a road that is there but didn’t have a road name on it. Took us 20 mins to find it. The directions to it could have been a lot clearer.
We stayed here as it was my daughters wedding. Beautiful place to get married.

Excellent service in restaurant, food well presented and of good quality
The grounds were very spacious, attractive and well maintained in a quiet setting
Hotel was in an excellent position for ease of sightseeing within a short driving distance
I stay at Kilconquhar Castle Estate whenever I visit Fife for work and golf. It is in a perfect location close to many of the top golf courses in the world. The staff are always personable, accommodating, and helpful. The villas, although a bit dated, are perfect for golf holidays with a group of friends. We loved having the three-hole warm-up area available before hitting the links, as most Scots do not warm up before playing. The bar is a great place to unwind after a day on the links. I highly recommend the estate.
Beautiful grounds to walk around and very quiet. Meals in the bistro were excellent. Our rooms were spacious with large beds and beautiful bathrooms. We stayed in the castle and it was historical and lovely. St. Andrews was a short drive away and there are many other places to visit. This was the best lodging of our 8 day stay in Scotland.
Parking good, grounds great for walks. Facilities good. The room was large, clean and comfy bed. Tv a good size in the room. Breakfast was tasty but could have done with more of it. Not impressed with portion sizes. Toast was too light as a minor point.
The hotel staff we found very friendly, which was great.
The room was lovely- really comfortable and cosy. It was clean and tidy and the fresh dressing gowns and towels folded on the bed was a lovely touch. Our room was really close to the hotel restaurant and free parking on site was an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and staff went above and beyond.
The hotel could be much nicer than it is. The location and grounds are very nice but our room was small, dark, dated and had a musty smell. It didn’t feel clean and needed updating. The WiFi was poor. We had booked a double room but it was in fact just two single beds pushed together.
This is our 2nd visit to Kilconquhar castle estate and once again had a fabulous stay , villa exceeded expectations, everything we needed and more , dog friendly, plenty room for us all , kids loved all the facilities, definitely will be back in the future
We liked the location and the facilities of the hotel. It meant if you didn't feel like driving you could stay on site and enjoy the leisure facilities or just sit outside for a coffee/beer reading your book or going for a walk around the site.
Room was a standard hotel room...small but it had everything we needed. The Leisure center is very nice and offers many nice activities. The grounds are beautiful & serene. Breakfast was excellent! Free parking was a plus!
We stayed on bnb basis and opted to have dinner at the hotel. Given the current situation and staff shortages the staff did really well. Staff are friendly and courteous.
Room, breakfasts & dinner were all excellent and what we expected from Kilconquhar Castle. Also location & facilities were really good with friendly staff.
perfect hotel for a group of golfers. excellent location close to all of the major golf courses (St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Elie, Dumbarnie, etc.)
