The location, living in the outer Hebrides and travelling to Ullapool , the chalets are a short distance from the ferry this made it an ideal location to travel to Inverness and around the Black Isle. There are a number of unique shops in Ullapool and lovely small cafes. Leckmelm is a rural area and you need to travel into Ullapool for services. You could walk into Ullapool but this would be dependant on weather/mobility and therefore you need a car to access services/eating places etc. Leckmelm is a great base for exploring the Highlands and you can visit the Isle of Lewis from Ullapool.
