The hotel was very central in Dartmouth. Although there was no parking at the hotel during the day there was plenty of overnight free parking from 6pm to 9am very close to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and a dog goody bag was a very nice touch. Room was well furnished with Elemis toiletries and refreshments.
Browns Hotel is a charming, independently run property located just 200 metres from the Dartmouth waterfront. Free WiFi is accessible throughout.

Initial reception and staff very good throughout our stay. Room and breakfast very good. Closeness to embankment and shops very good. Parking arrangements good. It was a great asset to be able to take our dog. The gluten free awareness and options were commendable

Well situated overlooking the river. We stayed in the Crows Nest, a suite at the top of the building. The room was beautifully appointed & very comfortable with 2 lovely little glass fronted balconies for taking in the spectacular views. The owners were very friendly & accommodating. The breakfast was superb.

Fabulous room with king bed and walk in shower (no bath). View was slight and through an angle of the window. T Loads of character and charm, very tastefully decorated. Good sized room with couch and chair. Bar and restaurant is very good and staff were amazing.

The location is great and the facilities are very good. Lorna had left tea, coffee, biscuits and cleaning products for us to use along with cups and wine glasses. There’s a fridge, iron and board and hairdryer.

Slapton is a very quaint little village about a mile from Slapton Sands so be prepared to walk or drive down to the beach.
2 lovely pubs in the village. Would recommend The Queens Arms for food and The Tower for a nice cozy old fashioned pub. Food limited due to lack of kitchen at present but looked good. All cooked on BBQ and Pizza Oven.
The only shop is run by volunteers and opens 8 till 1 so make sure you have enough provisions..
The roads around and through the village are very tight and steep. Not for the faint hearted.
The accommodation was brilliant and had all you could wish for.
