I had been out on the hills in Torridon and due to poor weather on the hills I arrived about 2 hours after the time I had previously indicated on my booking. When I checked in I said that I assumed that I was too late for dinner and was told that the chef could do me a meat and cheese platter in the bar. The meal was excellent.
At check in I explained that I needed to leave as soon as soon as possible after breakfast. At breakfast it was the same lady that had been at reception the previous evening and she did an excellent job in providing my breakfast as quickly as possible.
The location is stunning and I will return again for a family visit.

The location was stunning, the view out our bedroom was extraordinary, and the food was excellent.
Close to a small fishing harbor, The Old Inn has free parking and free Wi-Fi, near the Flowerdale Valley. The Old Inn is situated about a 1.5 hour drive from Inverness.

Nice location.
Staff that we did meet were friendly enough.
The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay.
The house and grounds were the outstanding part of our stay. The house oozes character and history. Perfect for a Highland stay.
Felix and Sarah our hosts were friendly and helpful, a special mention to Phillipa who went the extra distance to make our stay perfect.
If you want a true Highland experience then a stay at the Torridon estate will not disappoint.

Wanted to check out the town gallery to see if they sold the Torridon estates artists work. People were inside, eating or such, and it said OPENED but the doors were locked. We were on our way out of town around 11:00 am. Sad..we were in the mood to buy and to have a hot drink! Doesn’t say much for the community! Also, on our way into town, the night before, 2 people were sitting out front of the local store or restaurant and we had our car top down and waved! They just stared at us! Not too friendly!

This is no ordinary accommodation as one is staying in a family home which is being developed by the owners. The bedrooms are well renovated with comfortable beds. No tv which did not bother us. Instead, the house is peaceful.

We called ahead to Torridon stores and placed a grocery order. Jo, at the stores, was most helpful and provided most of what we needed. The rest we picked up at Tesco in Inverness. There is another useful store at Sheildaig.
We had excellent meals and service at the ‘Bo and Muc’, ‘The Walked Garden’ at Applecross, ‘Kishorn Seafood Bar’ at Kishorn.
Ben View was perfect for a family get together with four generations spread out through the house.
It is difficult to imagine finding a place that could offer better, ever-changing, views.

Torridon is simply one of the best places if you want to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The scenery is both dramatic and very beautiful, but also extremely peaceful and calming. I would love to visit this place at any time of the year (if it's accessible)

We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500.
We only stayed one night whilst on the NC 500. Would be nice to stay longer but quite pricey for a B and B. We ate at Torridon Inn 4 miles away, worth the journey , alternative would be further away. Make sure you book somewhere to eat before travelling.
Surrounding area is stunning.
Torridon is a small Hamlet and quite secluded so take provisions. We arrived on a Sunday and the cafe was closed.
The cottages would be a good option for a number of days so no need to eat out.
Breakfast was served in the bedroom which felt odd at first but turned out to be quite nice. Breakfast was continental style and plenty to eat. House is a lovely piece of period history and room proportions were grandiose. Don’t expect five star decor, this is a huge place that needs tlc, prices you pay for the privilege of staying here are very fair. Grounds are both secluded and stunning. We walked out from the rear of the property past waterfalls and pools where you can swim up into the Torridon mountains.
The house was a grand mansion built in 1875, undergoing extensive renovation. The continental Breakfast was served in the room and was very nice. The Service friendly and accommodating. The bedrooms were clean, tidy and the beds comfortable. The house and the
whole experience was very different from the norm we would expect at a B n B, but, that doesn't mean that we didn't find the experience enjoyable, because we did, with the host very friendly and warm.
The property is a very impressive highland residence.
Felix and Sara very friendly and welcoming. I will point out that it is a family home, it has its quirks but this is made very clear as soon as you book! The owners don’t make any pretence otherwise and are very open about this!! Yes it’s not cheap but remember torridon is very remote and not a huge amount of accommodation. We enjoyed our stay, thanks for looking after us!!
The estate is a magnificent property and we enjoyed the spacious room with a view. On arrival, we were greeted by a wild stag at the garden and it set our mood well. Felix the host was very helpful all the way and we had a wonderful and comfortable time at Torridon Estate. A bonus to our stay was we had breakfast served at the room where we could take our time to eat and enjoy the room a bit more, in pajamas.
We got the opportunity to stay at the Lochside Cottage for a day and we were awestruck. The cottage is magnificent, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a great fire place and a wood fire hot tub.
The night we spent there felt like a dream. We highly recommend it! We were kindly offered to stay at the cottage instead of the main house as there were some minor heating issues.
The location of the accommodation is terrific. It's located on the edge of the loch in a very scenic setting. We were greeted by the very pleasant and friendly owner who explained some of the reasoning behind the general state of the place. It's clearly a project that still has some way to go. We did have breakfast provided in our room and it was excellent.
The hostel is a great base to go hiking in torridon and the surrounding areas. The people who work there are friendly and gave some great suggestions on what hikes to do based on one's fitness levels and goals. The common lounge was amazing - gave a very luxury vibe to an otherwise good, clean hostel (which exceeded my expectations)
The staff were incredible, I have travelled extensively on business mostly abroad and can honestly say that the staff at Torridon were amongst the best that I have experienced. Am looking forward to returning.
The location was exceptional, it's a beautiful area. The house is the hub of the Torridon Estate, large and characterful. Our room was also large. The area is very quiet. The staff were great.
Staff were so lovely. Lots of space, large lounge, big dinning room and kitchen. We used a little snug by reception to play cards with family in evening. Mrs lovely. Location amazing.
The owner Sarah was lovely, really friendly and fun. The bedrooms are big and airy with nice big windows. The driveway up to the estate is lovely with views across Loch Torridon.
Absolutely gorgeous /perfect location. Well equipped with everything you may need. Bright and spacious - location was excellent for exploring Torridon mountains and area
Absolutely the best breakfast of all our stays in Scotland! Best omelets I've ever had!
Charming chateau that was quite comfortable for our stay. Very spacious room.
