Spacious room in a lovely period property. Comfortable beds and a good sized modern bathroom. Food generally was excellent with a good English breakfast. Had mains on the first evening which were very good and smoaked salmon sandwiches for lunch on the 3rd day which also were excellent. Staff, particularly at lunch, were both friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the amenities like the tea and biscuits were enjoyed. After hiking all day, I was tired when I checked in and just wanted to cocoon in my room. It was the perfect place to relax.

Breakfast was good and I loved the three choices I had while there, and the pastries were lovely. BUT see below. The location was great for us as we were part of a group using the village hall very close by. The room was lovely as were the facilities. The staff were always helpful and friendly so no complaints about them.
