Skala is a really lovely place, with fantastic restaurants, cafes and bakeries. The food is really reasonable and Skala is easy to get around. We got the bus up to Argostoli for the day and it was really good to go up and see there again. The buses are a bit limited this time of year but we got a taxi back and it was well worth it for a full day up there. Skala is a really friendly place and you are made to feel so welcome. it is such a lovely place to visit and see with stunning views and lovely people.

Restaurants are excellent with plenty of choice, Flamingo our favourite, beach is long and easy to walk along. Central to visit other areas in south of island. Everywhere people friendly and welcoming.

It’s a great location.
It’s a great location. It has bars and restaurants but not big night life. Which I like. More family and friends & couples. Which makes the area even more special. No big groups of party etc. Any restaurant on the square is great. Air conditioning in all rooms, parking place, shower outside to get rid of sand when coming from beach, in one sentence "the perfect place to stay when in kefalonia". Beach was right across the street and very nice, with sunbeds for a small fee, 10/set I believe. Breakfast was wonderful, as well as the staff. Everyone was so very helpful. We were upgraded to an upper floor room with sea view and it was beautiful with a lovely breeze. The shower was one of the best we've seen in Greece.
