I chose to stay at mercure because of its central location and proximity to the legian beach but the warm welcoming attitude of the staff and the excellent services in the hotel made my trip unforgettable. The widespread of breakfast menu with all possible western and eastern options was a pleasure to start the day with. They had the courtesy to assort vegetarian, halal and non-halal options seperately. The bus boys and serving staff were highly efficient and polite. Being close to the shopping area gave me the option to explore the local markets and the famous garlic lane for very good bargains. There was a certified money exchange and a quick service laundry exactly opposite to the exit gate. A 24/7 mini mart was also across the road for those late night munchies. They have an amazing infinity style pool on the 4th floor with a bar and another pool at the ground floor next to the restaurant. The water was clean and the deck chairs were well kept. The rooms were in pristine condition with fresh furniture and comfortable matresses. Amenities were optimal and were always refreshed in the morning by the house keeping staff. I highly recommend this hotel. It will be worth every penny and more.
