Breakfast was good, simple, not a big choice but enough. I think that the price for room is quite expensive, however the room was comfortable and clean.

Hugging the Ligurian coastline, Genoa boasts Europe’s largest old town and Italy’s largest seaport. As birthplace of Christopher Columbus, its heart and soul is the port, site of the Naval Museum and the ship-shaped Aquarium.
By the old port (Porto Antico) are several bars and restaurants serving the local speciality – pesto. Other Genoese favourites are focaccia and fresh fish from its Mediterranean shores. Don’t miss the homemade gelato ice cream along the seafront promenade – Corso Italia. East of here is the tranquil Boccadasse neighbourhood, where colourful boats bob up and down.
The best city views are from Villetta di Negro, a raised, shady park with a waterfall. Below is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Via Garibaldi, home to the ornately decorated Palazzo dei Rolli.
South is the old town with its black-and-white cathedral and Piazza de Ferrari, featuring a large fountain and historic buildings including the Doge’s Palace. The surrounding area is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets flying the Genoa flag, supposedly where the English took theirs from. Each features bars, restaurants and unique shops, while fancy boutiques are on Via XX Settembre.
As you approach Genova Airport look out for the fortresses on the lush hills forming the backbone of the ‘Superb City’. Booking.com has a range of Genoa accommodation, from hotels to apartments and B&Bs.
Incredible city which is not very touristy. The local cuisine is amazing and really good value for money, the coastline a must visit and the city centre incredibly full of history. The amount of art, culture and monuments present is almost overwhelming, but in a good way! I think we could have stayed for a week and still not discovered and done everything there is to do. Definitely my favourite city in Italy by a mile.

Friendly and not expensive (like Rome). People don't try and con you as a tourist. Only issue is that alomost no one speaks English outside of a few folks, but Google translate can help with that :) Defo take the ferry to Porto Fino and stop at the 2 places on the way.

Genova was a beautiful place to visit with heaps of things to do and visit. We ate at local restaurants within walking distance with everything quite accessible. Only problem was that we were unfortunate with the weather and it was quite cold.

Genoa is beautiful city but this hotel is terribly horribly run down. From the entrance, the lobby, the elevators, the corridors and the rooms it is a total disaster. You should stay there or send someone to spend just one night. It should be off your list of hotels. They have not spent one cent on maintenance in many many years.

We love visiting Genova and return for 1-2 night breaks frequently as there is such a range of activities: museums, historic buildings, beaches, port, food, food, food!
We like how the buses, metro and trains match the timings listed on Google Maps, and how easy it is to purchase tickets by card via the ATM Genova app.
The aquarium and the area around the Porto Antico is a must as there is always something going on, like street performers.

Genoa was a nice looking city.
Genoa was a nice looking city. Unfortunately the two+ hours we wasted trying the find the property greatly reduced the amount if time we had to see some sights we wanted to see. We also tried to go to the aquarium but by the time we got there they were sold out for the day. Having only a half day greatly limited the sights we could see. We did go to Laterna and enjoyed the tour and the history of the lighthouse, the second oldest operating lighthouse in the world.
Going to Italy is always a pleasure and the owner made our days fun and easy. Francesca picked us up at the train station and it made such a difference. She is a fantastic person and businesswoman. The room was spotless, spacious and comfy. She left a lot of breakfast and coffee in the morning. The cleaner lady is also kind and hard worker. Francesca recommended some nice places for us to eat and explore. I definitely will be back!
If you are an experienced traveler, this is a great place to stay in Genoa. The location could not be better. It's in a pedestrianized area in the historic center and within easy walking distance of nearly every attraction in the city including the historic port. Shopping was also very convenient. I loved the quiet and well-equipped aparthotel. You will need to book a taxi to and from the airport if you are flying into Genoa.
Great location - in the center of everything, all destinations reachable by feet (Porto Antico, Acquario, Palazzo Ducale, etc.). Great english speaking and very helpful staff, super breakfast and service, with the amazing view to the yacht port. Rooms and all hotel super clean. Exterior doesn't reveal this, but interior of the hotel is stylish - kinda being on the real ship. Very kids friendly (what in Italy is not as usual).
Great location, nice staff and affordable prices! the bed was SO comfortable! The building where the hotel is located was pretty cool too, with a majestic staircase and awesome architecture. Supermarket and restaurants nearby, as well as train and bus station. A great place for a nights rest before travelling elsewhere in Italy.
Located just across the street from one of the two train stations in Genua, Genova Brignole. The hotel is located in a old building. There are some parts of the old hotel still left. That was nice, I recommend to use the old elevator that is located 1/2 stairs up from lobby to get a sense of it's history.
it has all the amenities you will need. good wifi, AC is great esp during the heatwave of Italy. they clean the rooms everyday and change the towels. perfect location as it’s near the train station plus many restaurants nearby. great plaza infront of the hotel as well. Great stay overall! 😊
Bad location. Parking available. We paid 30 euros for breakfast. our 4 year old son was also forced to pay. Breakfast poor at all. I think that of the 7 hotels I've been to in Italy, the weakest of all. Not worth it. Very polite receptionist. bad value for money for a 3 star hotel.
Very clean, very cozy and very atmospheric room. You feel like you are in Italy and it’s very cool! Bocсadasыe beach is a few minutes' walk away, transport connections are excellent, you can move freely around the city from this location. Thank you for your hospitality!
Hotel Continental was closed so we got a room in the Hotel Savoia (next to Hotel Continental) which is 5* hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Also they have a lot of things to provide you, for example umbrellas on a rainy day :)
The hotel was beautiful and the room very comfortable. We also visited the spa, which was a wonderful end to our stay in Italy! Since we arrived and left by train, the location was very convenient.
Breakfast was average for Italy. But supplies were replenished quickly and space was good. Coffee machine functions despite high workload.
Foosball and table tennis in basement are bonus points$
Eleanora at the front desk was one of the most amazing and helpful staff in Italy. She was knowledgeable and friendly and went well beyond what was necessary to ensure a perfect experience.
