Far away from any city, the hotel offers large rooms, an onsen, a golf... I was lucky to have a balcony overlooking the golf, and the view was both peaceful and beautiful. Sherry on the cake: the breakfast is good and good value for money.

The hotel room has a magnificent view. We can see the grass field and sunrise in the morning. The hotel room is excellent, neat, clean, comfortable and tidy. The staff was nice and helpful. We went for the horse riding tour the other day and the staff were happy to explain the horses to us.

Great views. Great trip. Only disappointment is the blue "lake" in Nakadake Crater. All the pictures show the "lake" while to my understanding it was destroyed during the 2016 earthquake. It was what drawn my attention to this location to begin with, so it was disappointing not seeing it. All these pictures should be replaced with what currently is there, not what used to be there.

Unfortunately access to the crater is still prohibited due to the risk of toxic gases, but the surrounding area is impressive. For those keen on a hard nature walk you can walk up the steep trail of the neighbouring peak and look down into the crater from there. Allow a good half a day or more to do this!
As an older couple cycling through Japan, this hostel had everything we needed. An excellent self-catering kitchen and a private room with a Queen bed delivered us comfort for our visit to Mt Aso. The staff were particularly helpful and spoke good English which was an advantage to us. Less expensive than a hotel but with more amenity for us with the opportunity to converse with fellow travellers, this was the perfect place for us to stay.
I feel a bit concern of resort quality by reading review from many sources. But it is over my expectation, resort is great with super value price. Resort is big with many facilities: hot springs, pool, restaurant, shop with great scenic of Aso mountain. Room is also great with restroom and bath inside (yes many hotel or ryokan have no bath include if they have onsen in public but with this hotel u have option for clean urself)
Our host welcomed us at the station with her car, which was very nice even though the guest house is quite close to the station already. She gave us so many tips for hiking in the area. Thanks to her we discovered a wonderful trail up Mount Aso that goes through cows' and horses' fields and were able to see this amazing crater. The house was very clean and spacious, and we really loved the interior decoration.
Love the design of the hotel, very new and practical interior. There is also a view from the room looking at the volcano. Very clean and comfy. Not far from the volcano and it is just next to the train station.
The hotel does not have a restaurant (which they warn you in their info / email) but they offer free coffee/ tea and miso soup.
The management accommodated my request. Location with the in-house hot spring was great. View from the room and hallway were amazing as the hotel is sited at the foot of Mt Aso. The room size was much bigger than the ordinary Japanese hotel room. Room was clean, and the front desk team was very helpful.
Very clean hotel. They put Chinese medicine 川芎 in their onsen which is quite interesting. All the staffs are very helpful. Thanks to Miyuki who can communicate in English so we got info we needed. Do try their dinner and breakfast- It’s an excellent deal and very delicious.
The staff was very helpful. I was asking him to call another hotel because I can't speak Japanese. And he is eager to help. Thank you so much. The hotel is very nice, the spa is so huge. Bedroom is wonderful good view even without shower. Recommended.

Room was big and clean. And about the only hotel in Aso.
Staff were accommodating and allowed me to change room as the first one was very noisy with multiple tour groups staying.
It had a lot to offer of you had the time
our 3 pax room is big & clean, onsen & dinning areas are large. The hotel also provides shuttle to bring guests to & from train stations. and the breakfast & dinner spread are of western & Japanese buffet styles.
Excellent location. Bus and train station are just outside the hotel. Restaurants and convenience stores are nearby. Common pantry and dinning areas are clean and comfortable.
The staff is enthusiastic and kind. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they provide a private room. For such a price in the area, I think everything's reasonable.
