Even though the single room was with shared toilet, there was a sink in the room, which was convenient for brushing teeth and washing the face. The shared toilets were clean. For people too shy to use the public bath at the hotel next door, there is a shower room at the first floor next to the washing machines.

This place is for those who want to try a very traditional Ryokan. Futons on tatami matting and a traditional onsen (shared hot tub). There is also a small hot tub in the room. The family have been running it for 13 generations. It is designated museum as they keep it as traditional as is possible. Our room gave onto a delightful Japanese garden just in from the coast and was very tranquil.
This is not for people looking for modern conveniences.
Boasting hot-spring baths with restorative waters from 1500 metres below, Taikyorou is only a 5-minute walk from the famous Amanohashidate Land Bridge.

Great service, very clean room, tasty food. Room was spacious enough for two persons. Amazing view of the turning bridge which I loved!! Located at the centre of Amanohashidate, not too far away from the train station, offer free parking if you are driving. So value for money, we will be back.

Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.
The hotel once was a great property, and the views are breath taking! people are kind, but bare that noone speaks English and most of self-service has been implemented as possible such as collect your own amenities upon check in from the ground floor, for example. I love the location of the hotel, just be aware that if you do not have a car DO NOT come under any circumstance as there is no means for transportation, no combini close, no restaurants. So watch carefully your resources.
The staff was extremely helpful during the check-in. They helped me book the transport for 2 suitcases which worked perfectly as well as a taxi for the next morning. The breakfast was Japanese style, just as I wanted it. So different from my usual but very good ! I also appreciated the bathing facility, with water just at the right temperature. In the morning very nice path along the water and easy access to the sand bank. Restaurant and supermarket in good walking distance.

I liked that the hotel had a Sento and a restaurant. The restaurant was very good. They had a lot of fresh and authentic food options.
I could see a little bit of the bay from my window. The bed was super big and comfortable.
Even though the staff was only speaking japanese, they were helpful and we could communicate.
They were open minded.
For more complicated requests on my side I used a translation app and this worked totally fine.
A short and easy walk to the station and attractions. Waterfront location. And that you could use the onsen and take meals at the adjoining sister hotel. The outdoor seafood BBQ dinner with open bar was great value with a great waterfront vibe. Breakfast on the terrace was good as well.
The room, while small, was recently renovated.
Breakfast is from 7:00 till 9:00 at neighboor hotel.
For its price it was good, but please don't expect it would be like nice resort hotel.
THe absence of toilet in room turned in nightmare when people in the night were clutching their doors to get a floor toilet facilities...
- It’s the best location in Amanohashidate. Right next to sightseeing boat dock (on the opposite side of train station land), 3 mins walk to an viewpoint chairlift entrance, 1 min walk to bus stop to Ine
- Comfortable Japanese style room
- Breakfast is very authentic Japanese.
I’ll make it brief. I loved this place. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. It’s a Japanese style hotel which equally means clean and neat. It has a tiny Onsen-like bathroom inside with a sea view. I highly recommend this place for visitors of Amsnohashodate.
Yuko's employee waited for us even if we were a bit late. She does not speak english but Yuko is reachable on her phone. She was very kind and understanding, and even called a few restaurants for us. The location is in an area of Miyazu with many traditional restaurants.
The location is quite convenience. the breakfast reached our requirement. The onsen in the 2nd floor, we finish the bath and go to breakfast, so good. Room tidy and clean, seaview is my preference. Everything meet our requirement.
The staff was really friendly and available.
They even spontaneously proposed to help get us to the station
The 4th floor onsen is small but we each get out for ourselves so it was a great experience with a good view of the bay
2 days small break for second year in a row, good position for a reasonable price.
Got a dinner in the hotel izakaya, food was good especially the sushi, but the chef was alone so we had to wait quite a long for dishes.
Traditional Japanese hotel with some 7 rooms in an old building. Rooms and Onsen are a bit small and dated. Excellent service with nice breakfast and dinner. Excellent location right next to the famous rotating bridge.
Well appointed room. Roomy by Japanese standards. Super comfortable bed. Free car park.
Helpful staff. Some snacks available. No restaurant but a lounge/coffee facilities available. Close to a supermarket/mall.
Lovely stay at Amanohashidate Youth Hostel, great welcoming, dormitory was clean and cosy, délicious breakfast and fantastic view from the common space.
I will definitely recommand it !
