I was assigned a corner room on a high floor and the view was breath-taking. The room was well appointed and the layout was very interesting. You get a grandstand view of the surrounds from the bed. One of the best views in a bedroom anywhere. I arrived by train and the 'station' is within 100m. Sound insulation was superb and you don't hear the trains. Bicycles - both pedal and electric were provided. They were excellent in quality unlike some other places. The gym was small but sufficiently equipped. Nice and bright.

Nicely decorated historic building. Location perfect. Quiet room at the backside of the building.
My visit to Elst was good. The village is small. I arrived there when the town was setting up for a winter festival which happened to be on during my stay at the Het Wapen Van Elst. The locals were friendly, took interest in a foreigner like me from Northern Ireland. I joined in the fun at the festival, there was live music there, coffee and a bar which made my time in the the village much more entertaining, it was a good way to get talking with the locals there. The village has a number of cafes' restaurants, adding interest for a visitor. There is a supermarket in Elst, clothes shops, all the needs for the locals. The village is small clean, not too busy. Elst has held onto to its country village feel, quiet, not as stressful, as one would expect in cities or larger towns. The shops buildings have a dutch style character to them which is unique. I thought stopping by a village like Elst was ideal, not a busy busy demanding place, a village to rest, chill out in for sure. Definitely worth a visit for a short stay.
This hotel is in a super location. The town of Elst is very vibrant with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is central with plenty of parking. The receptionist was very helpful and provided plenty of information. The room was a good size, very clean with air con. Breakfast was excellent for us. The hotel restaurant was excellent with a varied menu and well priced. There are regular buses across the road to Arnhem. Would definitely stay here again.
I was welcomed by a nice lady at the reception, and I'm glad that everyone I met in Holland speaks perfect English. All of the hotel staff I met was very nice and friendly. The room was large and cozy, altough a bit cold when I arrived. Everything was very clean, and there was even a water boiler to make yourself a tea or coffee, plus beverages in the minibar. The private bathroom in the room was very clean also, with plenty of towels.
The town is small and charming, with plenty of restaurants. Getting to Elst via train required some changes, but the transport links are very good. The room was small but clean, and contained everything you'd need, and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff were accommodating and friendly, and the food was excellent. I would definitely stay again.
Friendly efficient service and staff that let you get on with it with the minimum of fuss. Helpful and friendly staff who are there when needed. Het Wapen van elst is a nice place to have a meal, drink, coffee as well as a great place to stay. You don't need anything else. We loved our stay at Het Wapen Van Elst.
In the center of the historical and commercial section of town with private parking in the back of the hotel building. Access was easy to hotel from the parking lot. Room overlooked the main street and restaurant. The food was excellent and so was the staff and facility. Would stay here again.
The location is great, very central in the village of Elst. The staff were also very friendly and interested. Breakfast was fine for the price. The room was better than expected for the price with a very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Free parking directly behind the hotel.
A nice hotel in a good location, easily reachable by public transport. We went here to have a home base around going to Qlimax. Good alternative if everything in Arnhem is full and you have to find a place nearby the Gelredome.
Nice small family hotel, right in the centre of the village. Behind of the hotel is free parking which is a big bonus. The Hotel has a beautiful restaurant with terrace where you can have great food or drinks.
Very stylish, beautiful small town location. Friendly staff and nice restaurants just beside the hotel. Our room had its own door outside to the parking space and small terace. Very easy with a dog.
A quiet and modern residential location on the edge of Elst's well resourced and welcoming town centre. The Gelderland countryside just a stone's throw away.
