We drove out to the Castle which was awesome - well worth seeing along with the beautiful gardens.
We also walked around the beautiful, quaint old city and strolled along the canal stopping for dinner on the canal and then for drinks at another venue. It stayed light out until after 10 pm so we were able to enjoy the city after the rain stopped in late afternoon.
We drove here and were advised by Hotel Beijers that parking could be a problem and suggested the ParkBee website to reserve a spot for the length of our stay. It worked out perfectly for us - no issues.
Overall I would have to say Utrecht is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend to travelers!

Utrecht is a beautiful city. If anyone is intending to visit The Netherlands I would suggest you visit this city. It is small enough to walk around at a leisurely pace and take in the history and beauty.

The canals, trees coming into bud, friendly City folk, good coffee and excellent transport links. The historic buildings and peaceful walk along the canal which loops around the City were very relaxing. We enjoyed the City Museum and the cafe in the Dom (Cathedral) is a tranquil place to be. If you are looking for a civilised and smaller version of Amsterdam you will enjoy a long weekend in Utrecht.

A vibrant yet chilled out place to visit.
A vibrant yet chilled out place to visit. Loved all the cafe and bars and small streets where you can meander and wander in and out of lovely shops. Some of our party went to the top of the bell tower, quite hard going but amazing views. We also visited the Roman ruins under the tower, very interesting and good fun. Also spent a leisurely hour and a half on a a canal river trip, highly recommended! Went to several restaurants, great, reasonably priced food and far too much good wine and beer. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Really lovely place, have been here several times and love...
Really lovely place, have been here several times and love it more each visit. There's lots to see and places to eat and watch the world go by. As it has a University there are lots of students around which adds to its vibrancy. It's a strange mix of busy and quiet in parallel. Watch out for the bikes as you're in the Netherlands, this took a little getting used to but it does mean there are not so many cars which is lovely. Absolutely recommend a visit!
The location was perfect most especially when you’re traveling via the train. It is placed near the city center which makes walking a very convenient choice of exploring the quaint city of Utrecht.
The size of the room another plus factor you can conveniently work your way around and even if you have a companion the space is still enough. I love how responsive the staff were to my queries.
If you’re a HH member you still qualify for the perks but not the reward points since the booking is made from Booking.com.
The hotel is located next to the train station, at a walkable distance from the city center. It is an ideal location not only for visiting the main landmarks from Utrecht, but also to visit other main cities from the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Hague (aprox 30-35 minutes by train). The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast consisted of a variety of food you could choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and open to our needs.
The location was excellent, just 300 m. away from Utrecht Centraal station and less than 1 km away from the Dom. The facilites were ok and everything was clean. My booking included breakfast, which was ok. The bathroom was clean and the pods were ok. You can sleep well; however, I would not book a pod again. My recommendation would be pay a bit more and go for a private room unless you are on a budget. Other than that, it was good value for money.
Great location if you are planning to explore both Utrecht and Amsterdam. The hotel is just a few steps from the central train station and right next to the old town of Utrecht. Also the excellent connection to Schiphol Airport.
The hotel staff is very professional and pleasant to communicate with. Breakfast was great. The hotel is in a large shopping centre, so if you like shopping - leave the hotel and start shopping.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for both the railway station and the city centre. Although the hotel has no breakfast room, croissants / coffee / orange juice were available in the lobby, and in any case it was just a few minutes' walk to some very nice breakfast venues (Teds, Toastable and the spectacular Bunk).
Room had solid walls, unless room next door was being loud (only happened on our last night) you wouldn't really hear anything directly. Good water pressure. The location was accessible, sitting on the edge of the City Centre, a very short walk from Utrecht's central station. Some staff were friendly and helpful.
Everything! The quality of a 4 stars hotel with the price of an hostel... The hostel is located in the city centre, you car arrive there by walking 10 minutes from the train station. Many bars and restaurant are located in the district. I'd have liked to spend there more days...
The hotel is very nice, ideally located in Utrecht city centre close to all attractions, bars and restaurants. Staff is very nice, I could check-in outside the check-in hours with an automatic procedure. The room I stayed was big and nicely decorated.
Very clean, quiet, comfortable very modern hotel. King bed was nice, large room. Easy couple minute walk to central Utrecht. Lots of restaurants, We did eat one dinner at the hotel. It was Excellent, great food and service..
The hotel is located in a central location, very close to Utrecht Train Station and the city center. The rooms are large, clean and the staff is welcoming. I can say that it offers many things expected from a corporate hotel.
Proximity to the Utrecht Station and Hoog Catharijn. Bed in the top bunk was really comfortable. They have plenty of showers in the Pods (bunk beds) room. I like the tasteful architecture/design inside the hotel and Pods.
The location of the hotel was around 5kms from Utrecht central. bus station is near to the station. but still you need to make a stroll to the hotel from the bus stop. Its better to take taxi. it will cost you 12 euros.
Loved how friendly the staff is, rooms are clean and quite nice and spacious, beds are comfortable.
This hotel is close to the train station, a big shopping mall and the city center is just a short walk away.
The location was perfect, we need to be near of Utrecht University.
But is also near the city center.
I love the ambient in the lobby, the music, the smell.
Perfect location, just one bus stop from Utrecht Central station and city centre. Beautiful view from the hotel room. Staff is very helpfull and friendly.
