We stayed in Asker because it is close to Oslo, not really...
We stayed in Asker because it is close to Oslo, not really for Asker itself. Asker for me was only a sentimental place, I used to live and work there in 1988-89, so we spent half a day walking around and visiting the places I used to know 33 years before (some of them changed much, so they wer unrecognizable to me). Apart from that we have treted Asker as a unexpensive pied-a-terre to tourism in Oslo.

Another hotel which clearly was geared towards conferences with at leat 6 to 8 per day. The hotel had a nice terrace area overlooking Oslo fjord but unfortunately the outside bar was not yet operational, probably too early in the Season as yet. There were many different options at the breakfast buffet, and the food was delicious. The hotel is located very close to the Asker train station, but there was no traffic noise heard at the hotel.
