I was there off-season. The owner was very helpful and allowed me to stay there although he had already closed down his premises. This place itself is great. Nature at its best.
The location for us was perfect.
We arrived cold and wet, before even checking in we were given a seat and a hot cup of coffee, most welcome indeed.
Check in was easy, room was very clean and comfortable with a great shower. View was through trees towards the Sapmi cultural park.
The restaurants was quite unique, sort of underground with a central area and circular rooms off it, each had their own fire pit, food was very good.
If we were in the area again we would definitely use this hotel again, probably stay longer too.
You can reach the accomandation by car or when you come with the bus from the Scandic hotel bus station by feet. It is more outside but it’s great to relax a bit. We even saw a moose. The campsite looks nice and there are showers and a kitchen. You can also book the sauna or the hot tub for some extra cash. If there are northern lights the sauna or hot tub would be a perfect spot to see them.
The best place to stay in Karasjok. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is delicious and caters for all dietary requirements. We were lucky to see the northern lights during our stay, and enjoy a sauna and gym at the hotel in the evenings. It was a good place to stay with our infant. The hotel provided a cot. The new manager at the hotel is very helpful, kind and attentive.
The most excellent breakfast I have ever eaten in any hotel. Cozy, big enough rooms. Very nice staff. Mosquito nets on windows. Silent hotel, good beds and pillows. The restaurant was amazing, not only unique dining experience but also excellent food.
Karasjok is in the heart of Sami country and this hotel is in the heart of Karasjok. Good room, good wi-fi. Excellent restaurant with Sami-derived decor. Excellent buffet breakfast. You can walk to the Sami Park/Parliament/Museum etc.
Stayed overnight in May 2023. The hotel was found quickly. Greeted by friendly staff at the reception. We received the keys and settled in. The house is clean and tidy. Everything corresponds to the photo indicated on the site.
Great location, fantastic food in the restaurant in the evening and a quiet night's stay. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. A bonus was that we could see reindeer from our room.
Lovely cabin and new and clean accommodation camp site style.
Amazing view over Karasjok and lots of things to do, see and eat all in Sami style, very interesting culture.
