Friendly receptionist. Comfortable and spacious room to fit a family of 3. No TV though. Free flow of hot drinks at the lobby area. Really dark black out curtains to block sunlight in the summer. The hotel is actually the hostel for Ålesund folkehøgskole which is closed during the summer holidays.ShinnNorway

Located outside Ålesund and in the middle of nowere (you will need a car), but very quiet surroundings. Breakfast was ok, usual Norwegian buffet, choice of cheese, ham, some greens, eggs, muesli and bread.

Good value for money: the hotel may be far from Ålesund, but you can reach the city by bus. Magnificent surroundings, with views over the fjord and forests.

Live near Ålesund, about 10 min driving to sentrum with the car. Simple, but enough good breakfast to eat and go do your things.
