We had a really amazing time with my parents for one night. We very much appreciated that we could change the date to a couple of days earlier. Got a very warm welcome not only from the host also the house was cosy and warm (this is in December not always happening in Portugal). The breakfast was very good. With homemade bread. Thanks.

The location of the town is very good for visiting the cultural spots around. We also saw some maps for hiking trails in the national park nearby. The location of the hotel is at the end of the park and is very quiet in the evening. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and met all of our needs. The renovation has been expertly done, and respects the architecture and feel of the monastery, and the interior decoration and furnishings complement the architecture. The hotel is spotless! Very comfortable room with A/C, flowers, chocolates (!), TV with a lot of movie channels. 2 very clean bathrooms for 6 rooms. Clare was lovely! ...Very welcoming. Fantastic location. I could see the monastery from my window! Great value.
