I stay here a lot. Th last couple of times I had bad experiences with the monkeys but this time I didn't. Its in a perfect spot and the beds were so comfy, the room in all was brilliant. large balcony. Breakfast good. No complaints at all . I highly recommend this hotel for the price is such good value.

The resort was superb, it is a massive property so don't expect to walk from your room to beach in a minute. This didn't bother us as we like to walk. The rooms are very spacious and clean, we liked the ammenities offered and the never ending complimentary cookies! The beds were comfortable and the everything was clean. As the property is a little older it is starting to show some minor signs of ageing but the upkeep to the property is pretty good. The food was great at breakfast and we like the happy hour at the terrace. It is expensive compared to other places on railay and we tried dinner one night but wasn't overly impressed as I asked for a dinner with less chill and it was loaded with fresh massive red chilli's. Small complaint but if you are paying more for a meal than other places you expect some care taken. The pool is great and the gardens are well maintained. We really did enjoy our trip.

Absolutely beautiful property set in the hills of Railay beach with views to die for. The hotel was beautifully clean and had everything you could want including a fantastic happy hour on cocktails mid afternoon!!
The rooms were really beautiful, spotless, and had very comfortable mattress and pillows, with lovely touches like welcome drink and biscuits, beach bag for guest use and robe and slippers.
We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and it was the best food we had in Railay beach and Krabi as a whole, very tasty and reasonably priced. I have to give a special mention to John who works at the pool bar and restaurant, such a beautifully kind and generous man and really took care of us and our young children.
If I was to return to Railay I would rebook here without hesitation, now knowing the area I would not want any other hotel, to my knowledge this is the only hotel with an elevated position and it avoids all the noise and fumes from the long tail tourist boats that come and go all day long. I can imagine staying in one of the hotels on the beach front it must be quite noisy. Dont worry about the walk to get to the entrance as they have a shuttle tuktuk on call when you need it.
Situated on the white sands of West Railay Beach and surrounded by the beautiful limestone cliffs, Railay Village Resort offers private villas and rooms with pool views. It also has an outdoor pool.

The location was somewhat inconvenient, and a refrigerator would have been a welcome addition, even if it were shared among the bungalows. The weather has been quite warm, and the lack of cool water did not aid in refreshing oneself.
Although this is an experience of true backpacking for the eco friendly

Gorgeous location, absolutely stunning natural cliffs, rocky island outcroppings, warm aquamarine water. An old style beach town that is rare to find these days. Great diversity of restaurants, (the Indian food place was one of the best anywhere) cafes (mango sticky rice!), and local shops along 'walking street', fabulous to just lay on the beach, but hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving schools/rental equipment/excursions, are available for the more adventurous.
A little difficult to get to (long tail or speedboat only) - which keeps it remote, peaceful and relaxed - no ridiculous night life, family friendly, local, easy going, picturesque peninsula on the Andaman Sea.
We booked a group boat tour around PhiPhi islands - boat was delayed, then broke down in the middle of the Sea, luckily a passing boat provided a 'spare' propellor!!! PhiPhi island visit was just a lunch stop, and basically a huge cafeteria line with spaghetti and fried chicken, ugh. Snorkeling, boat diving, cave hiking, discovering empty beach coves along the way though, were all incredible. Visiting "The Beach" lagoon was picturesque, but incredibly overcrowded - no wonder they don't allow swimming in the lagoon. Toilet facilities on PhiPhi and The Beach were best left unvisited, unless absolutely necessary. The tour was 8/10, but the adventure of it all was 11/10.
Railay is well worth a 3-4 day stay, some of our neighbors were staying 2weeks and longer over the new year's holiday. It's an absolutely beautiful, relatively undeveloped resort area, with great food, spectacular beach life, stunning views, and friendly and welcoming local people

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability.
This is not for anyone travelling with a disability. Depending on the tide , will depend on where you are dropped off. The long tail drivers did not help at all getting off the boat or with luggage.Had we been at the other Quay life would have been easy. There was no one there to greet us and our hotel was on the other side of the island a long way to drag luggage..
This is a young person's resort the smell of weed is all over the island. The THAI people don't have the same attitude as elsewhere as they have a monopoly.

The longer you stay, the more you discover.
The longer you stay, the more you discover. Railay has a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. We discovered a few favourite spots for dinner, both in the walking street as well as in Railay East. The sunset on Railey West or the Phra Nang beach are breathtaking. We recommend hiking up to the viewpoint, and if you are brave climb down to the lagoon. We also enjoyed renting a kayak during the day, and do a night tour to see the bio-luminescent plankton. Worth noting: If you book a tour on Railay East, it is often quite a bit cheaper, and priced for backpackers who stay on this side of Railay. The tours themselves are typically of the same quality. The most buzz happens in the walking street between East and West Railay and on the West beach.

The property was gorgeous and quiet.
The property was gorgeous and quiet. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional. The pool was great too. The only downside was the beach itself - rough sand, not as beautiful as the other side of the island. So the hotel itseld was absolutely wonderful but the beach was not.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
We stayed for four nights and four days. I think without excursions, any longer would be too long but it truly is a getaway.
One day we did the lagoon viewpoint hike and for avid nature fans and hikers, I would recommend this! It's a steep incline/scramble to get there, but the route provides you with ropes to pull yourself up. The viewpoint is stunning and when we hiked up this, wild monkeys climbed around us which was just an amazing experience.
We did an island tour excursion where we visited the local island beaches during the evening and watched the sunset from one of the islands! This tour was one of the better ones we did whilst in Thailand. We explored each island on a longtail boat, which I would recommend, and we went snorkelling to see the beautiful aquatic life that surrounded the islands. We even snorkelled at night to see the luminescent plankton!
There's an amazing bar/restaurant on the island called the treetop bar. The bar has the coolest atmosphere. Shoes off, beanbags, and live music! Very chilled atmosphere with a local singer who was great.
I would visit here again in a heartbeat. A travellers paradise - would recommend.
The room was huge, very comfortable and clean. The bed was enormous and comfy, I like the configuration of the bathroom (separate shower and toilet), the day bed on the balcony was great. The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly.
The location is excellent. On Railay East, which is a little quieter than Railay West. Walking distance to Phra Nang Beach (the nicest of the beaches). Walking Street between Railay East and West is just behind the hotel (3 min walk so you don't get the noise of Walking Street at the hotel).
Incredible location and comfort. The breakfast is incredible and has lots of options for both Thai food and western-style breakfast. The staff was incredible and willing to help us arrange any activities or provide recommendations. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need for an unforgettable stay at Railay Beach. Next time I visit (and there will be a next time), the choice to return to Railay Phutawan is a no-brainer. Awesome place. Was like being in a dream for five days.
Very cute spot by Railay beach with pretty views and good cheap food. The common areas are ideal for a morning coffee and the vibe was great with both backpackers and families. We appreciated that they made very clear it was not a party hostel kind of place, unlike some places nearby. The room with AC was cozy, clean and comfortable. Many comments I had read complaint about the steps to go up to it but this wasn't a big deal, especially given the cool system they have to bring up the luggage.
Slipping in the middle of the nature is a favor hard to find in Krabi or Railay; although this hotel is offering that. The presence of birds, monkeys from time to time is fascinating.
But there is a price for that: few steps every day to get in your room and no AC, as the houses are traditionally made of wood. If you balance the advantage of a beautiful sun rise, sunset and Phra Nang Beach with the fan in the room, it's OK. And surprisingly, no mosquitoes at all...
Railay Hilltop is more akin to a lodge than anything else. I wouldn’t call it a resort. That said, it functions well if you consider it a lodge rather than a hotel room (this is what you get for going for the cheapest accommodation on the beach). I recommend keeping your aircon on even when leaving the property — this wards off mosquitoes and other annoying critters. Beds are ok and toilets function well. You get the essentials I say.
I stayed for 5 nights in Deluxe Grand Double Room in March.
The staff! Everyone was super nice and friendly.
The pool and the pool bar were great! They also have a happy hour 1+1 in the afternoon:)
The room was very big and comfortable, especially the bed that was huge!!
Close to the Railay Beach East pier and just 7 minutes walk to Phra Nang Cave beach, which is for me by far prettier and more relaxing than Railay Beach West.
I loved it. Super comfortable, enormous bedroom with a good sized balcony with a sofa, the pool is delightful. The location is amazing because is close to the “main Railay road”, but also far enough to be a silent place. Many mini markets nearby. Also the hotel has a lot of nature, with trees, monkeys, green space. Super cozy. I highly recommend this place
The views from the hotel are amazing. As you enter, monkeys welcome you 😀 We spent just one night to enjoy Railay Beach. The beds are comfy, there is a fridge and AC, no hairdryer - you may need to ask it. Very clean room. The staff was ok, we didn’t really have much conversation. Overall, nice place for a few days.
The property is far from the noisy Railay beach (East or West), but still walkable distance (even with kids). It is a real break from the crowd.
Our room had a sea view and nice furniture. Very appreciable.
Staff was nice. Thank you John at pool bar he has been very nice to us, and our kids !
You can’t get bored in this resort… each day we watched monkeys from our terrace, did a nice walk to Railay beach… We appreciated the privacy and the location being away from the centre.
Definitely a great view from our room! We loved it there, it was a very fun and adventurous stay.
Everything ♡ this place is so peaceful
Place, hotel, Staff, environment. Was a dream wake up with the monkeys in my balcony, or be in the pool with the best sunset of the Railay.
Railay beach definitely was the best decision, we enjoyed every minute.
The location !
The deluxe room wing side, newly built block , was luxurious and beautiful.

Everything, was the best hotel that we stayed in Thailand throughout Krabi and Bangkok.
No monkeys to terrorise you, another bonus.
It's a beautiful resort in a very beautiful place, right at the coast. The breakfast is extensive and you can have a table right at the beach. You will often see monkeys and lizards on the territory of the hotel.
Lovely resort on Railay Beach, Very spacious rooms, We had adjoining rooms with our children.
close walking distance to Main Street with bars and restaurants. monkeys in the trees at hotel!
Perfect location at the end of the railay floating hotel. Clean and tidy with a rooftop pool. Nice breakfast and helpful staff :) would definitely stay again x
