Despite the outside appearance the room I had was recently renovated and absolutely spotlessly clean.
The bed was very comfortable with crisp linens.

The owners, man and wife were very kind and accommodating. They made sure we were comfortable. They guided us to a great restaurant in Coalinga.
The hotel is older but clean and quiet. It lacked some basic things such as clothes hangers.
Our room was air conditioned and comfortable.
Very old facility. Needs redo. Pool not open because of COVID. Bathtub was old and chipped. Textured wall board around tub is impossible to clean. We had no maid service at all. We had to get our own clean towels from the laundry. Ice machine was awfully far from our room.

It's a quirky old oil town.
It's a quirky old oil town. The oil levels are declining, and the new industrial base for the place is incarcerating people. No lie. It's cultured, pretty, and a little bit goofy. Don't miss it.

Coalinga smells like a cow pasture.
Coalinga smells like a cow pasture. It's only attraction besides Harris Ranch is it's proximity to Avenal State Prison. The town is geared for taking advantage of the prison visiting clientele and truckers.

Coalinga is a small town, off the main travel route, but the townspeople were friendly and helpful when we suffered a flat tire en route to our hotel. Our stay was very brief, but it seemed easy to find our way around the town.
absolutely nothing!! I called hotel property to let them know an estimate time of checking in. At the arrival to Hotel owner asked if, we can wait for 30 minutes to get room ready for us. This place was empty and we where exhausted after a 8 hour drive and to have to wait over an hour for manager/ owner to get place ready was ridiculous.
The man at the front desk waited for me and my child to show an hour after closing and showed us the direction of the room and even advised me on how to get a discount for next time. I was super appreciative of his hospitality because I was not having the best day before we arrived. I will be staying again when we head to Coalinga.

Our room was air conditioned and comfortable.
This Best Western was clean with fairly modern rooms.
The staff were very helpful.
I can’t believe I’m saying this about a best western, but the beds and pillows here were amongst some the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Much more comfortable than more expensive hotels.
The property was in a good location for our needs. The staff was friendly and the room spacious and clean. The breakfast was wonderful providing many options: eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, fruit, muffins, juice, milk, tea, and coffee.
Staff was very Friendly, Professional and Accommodating. Great Customer Service and Convenient Location close to Stores and Gas, Restaurants. Place was very Clean! I Highly recommend to Everyone and Prices are Great!
One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in on my RT drive from CA to AZ. It was new. Great breakfast. A full bar. Great staff. Pet friendly. Worth the drive off 5. Quiet.
