The gal at reception was absolutely delightful! We'd return just to see her, she felt like one of us sisters!

Breakfast was better than expected--enough to fuel skiing at Lutsen.
We were placed on the second floor far away from the front desk and appreciated who quiet it was.
We had read online that Lutsen is a beautiful place to stay.

I found the desk clerk on duty, Sunday afternoon, August 7, to be rude, unprofessional, and inefficient. I was initially ignored then made to wait while she prepared ice cream floats for a large family.

Not a lot to do in July in the early part of the week, scenery is beautiful. Was there on a quick get away, only had Sun-Tue. Most everything was closed, we used the location to see things up the North Shore and used the area as our home base.

What a hidden gem.
What a hidden gem. This Inn is located very close to the Mountain and very close to the main highway. It was tranquil and restful. Beds are super comfortable. Loved it and would have stayed longer if our schedule had allowed it.

Great central location to explore the area.
Great central location to explore the area. Grand Marais and Two Harbors are great day trips from this location. There are many water falls and scenic overlooks to explore. The beauty of the lake and rock formations was breathtaking. In late June Hwy 61 is loaded with purple, pink and white lupine. Absolutely amazing. Photographers paradise for sure! There are great wineries, breweries and fantastic food to be enjoyed.

Great family friendly area.
Great family friendly area. Lot's to do up on the top of the hill even without snow. There's a gondola that takes you to the other peak with a lodge, and a great view, I'd highly recommend. The Alpine slides were fun, but the sled that you ride in is too small for those of us who are taller than 6', I'm 6'9" and made it work but it wasn't as fun as it could have been with a bigger sled.
The proximity for being close to wedding venue that brought us there. Also to venture to our favorite spots. We have been to this area several times however first staying at Caribou Hideaway. If you are a skiier or there with children for the amenities (slide, pool, winter sports ) it would be ideal.
In the future I don't see us returning to this location. prefer something more on site next to water and private.
having to pay for items at breakfast was a deal breaker for us. We stayed at a much less expensive hotel the previous night and had grab and go items in the lobby, such as yogurt, fruit and coffee, even the coffee pot was not being maintained when we stayed.
Beautiful home with great amenities, A large, well stocked kitchen with every item a guest would need. Very close to Grand Marais and Tofte. The North Shore Winery is a short walk away. The hosts could not be more accommodating.
The property was beautiful. Very quiet, quaint location with everything you need for a weekend getaway to Lutsen. Situated about 25 minutes from the ski resort, very easy drive to and fro. Easy access to house and garage.
I traveled to the area for a mountain bike race and this place was 3 miles from the venue not to mention it backed right up to lake Superior. A great place to stay!A great place to stay for the Lutsen 99er
The room was large and well appointed. I enjoyed the window seat. It was an enjoyable walk around the grounds and up to the ski area where we took a gondola to a mountain top restaurant with fabulous views.
