The location was super convenient for us and it was lovely to stay on the water. The unit had everything we needed.
The host was very responsive, and the check-in process was seamless. Parking was always available. It was fun to see the seaplane and helicopter coming and going right outside, and it's only during the day so the noise wasn't a bother. Having the Good Earth (top-notch organic supermarket) a few minutes away is fantastic!
Located 20 minutes’ drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge, this eco-friendly inn provides rooms that overlook Mill Valley. It offers a full-service restaurant on site.
Nestled at the tip of the scenic Tiburon Peninsula around the cove from Sausalito, on the San Francisco Bay, The Lodge at Tiburon, a 3-story California Craftsman style upscale lodge is set on 3 acres,...

Location was spot on which was close to a lovely village setting.
Calm city. Safe city. Lots of options to eat and to do groceries.
We went there to visit San Francisco. We've chosen Mill Valley and Sausalito to park our car and take public transportation to San Francisco.
Best decision ever. Car remained intact. No one crashed our window and we were happy.

The unit is great for a couple, but not for more than two...
The unit is great for a couple, but not for more than two assuming the two sleep in the same bed. Otherwise a very nice place. The driveway up to the unit is very steep and could be a challenge for some people.
We went there to visit our daughter who has a small apartment and a new baby, but the area is a great place to visit in general. Mill Valley can be navigated, but road network is tricky and sometimes difficult--be sure you have a GPS with guidance if you don't know the area!

See my review.
See my review. Property is dangerous unless approached in the daytime as there was zero lighting illuminating the door to the unit or the side yard. Pitch black. Floor drops 3-4" as you step from door sil into unit. What if Mom or Grandma went in first. They would have lawsuit to deal with broken foot, leg or worse.
NO RESPOSE UNTIL TRIED THIRD PHONE NUMBER. NICE, NICE REP WHO "GOT IT". GROSS UNIT AND GROSS FILTHY OLD BEATER CAR IN DRIVEWAY OR SUPER HIGH END NEIGHBORHOOD. CREEPY!
MY PLANNED TRIP WAS RUINED AS IT WAS TOO GROSS TO STAY IN THE ICKY, STINKEY UNIT. I WAS HIGHLY INCONVENIENCED AND WILL NEVER USE BOOKING.COM AGAIN. VERY SAD SITUATION WITH THAT UNIT. MAYBE LITTLE KIDS WOULD HAVE FUN BUT AN ADULT WHO HAS STAYED IN NICE HOTELS IN THE WORLD WOULD BE THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED WITH IT. AGAIN, BOOK A HOTEL AND DRIVE UP THERE TO ENJOY THE VIEW OR HIKE AREA.

Pictures on wed site are deceiving.
Pictures on wed site are deceiving. You can’t put lipstick on a pig and call it good. Broken doors, faucets not attached, dirty in the corners. Our first room reeks of pee. Broken down cars that have been there for years? We didn’t get bed bugs - that’s the only plus.

Hello.
Hello. We were surprised, shocked, really, that a woman with Covid was staying in a room next door at the Muir Lodge!!! The receptionist gave us NO indication or warning of the situation, as we would have been more cautious. We did not feel protected or secure. The motel should have taken better care of their other guests by at least informing them of a possible contamination. The reception simply wanted to hide this situation and was not forthright/honest, and put us all at risk.

Convenient drive to Muir Woods and to the Golden Gate Bridge...
Convenient drive to Muir Woods and to the Golden Gate Bridge park area for a great view of the bridge. Cute small town with a few good options for meals, coffee, etc. but other than that not much of interest directly in Mill Valley.
The pictures don’t do it justice. The room is huge and very comfortable. some of the furniture needs to be replaced. it is a bit worn. Some tiles are cracked but overall it is a nice hotel. The ocean view was wonderful! The hot tub was nothing special. It could be a bit more inviting. Thank you for the cookies!
Wonderful view. Great location between Sausalito, Mill Valley and Tiburon with easy access to bike and running path. Brought our bicycles and explored area without having to deal with traffic. Unique experience watching how the daily tides come in and out in the area. Perfect for a couple getaway.
This hotel is perfect for us because it’s near the highway and it’s always predictable. What I mean by that is the price is always reasonable, the rooms are always clean, and the staff is always there to help you out if you need anything at all.
View of Richardson Bay, estuary and Mt. Tamalpais; quiet despite nearness of busy Hwy 101; proximity to Mill Valley proper and Sausalito; nearby Tesla Supercharger complex; easy highway access; Plenty of convenient parking; VERY comfortable bed.
We were looking for a cheap overnight stay. Muir Woods Lodge may be reasonably priced compared to other hotels but the hotel was dirty with cobwebs around. With hindsight, I’d have picked a more expensive stay for a more comfortable stay.
The staff and welcome were exceptional. The continental breakfast was the best I ever had. The town just feels tucked away from the world and the inn is just nestled in and quite cozy. The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable.
I remember staying at the hotel the first time many years ago when it first opened. Everything felt new, cool and trendy. Now it is lovely but feels a bit tired like it needs a refresh. Love the breakfast, breakfast room and deck area.
Breakfast was a banquet. Every morning we enjoyed different varieties of food. I even discovered the hotel served espresso drinks! We enjoyed the outdoor ambiance and outdoor lounge; the staff were polite and accommodating.
The location is good if you have a car. We travelled by bike and it was fine as well. But if you’re on foot, it would be inconvenient. Though it’s cheaper than other hotels in the area. And the room we had was decent.
I stay in that hotel when I like to visit Muir Woods. It is by the bay, so we had a waterfront view. It is a typical Holiday Inn Express, so expect all the things you would normally expect from that chain.
Great for a one night stopover driving the PCH, directly on Highway 101. Very good restaurant next door. Situated adjacent to the Mill Valley nature reserve with nice walking/bike trails.
it was conveniently located close to Mill Valley, it was clean and the staff were pleasant. it was surprisingly quiet for how close it is located to highway 101. felt safe
