We do a Fishing Derby. Room is affordable, not far from the lake and there are a few plug in's outside to charge batteries. This room was cleaner and the shower worked better than last time there.

The included breakfast was good, a fair variety of foods were provided. The room was comfortable and quiet. We slept well.

Our room faced the pond at the back of the hotel, which was a pleasant view and far less noisy than the highway sign. Watched a big storm roll in, too. Some kind of info sheet for local restaurants would've been helpful, but Google worked just fine. Great stop after a LONG drive that day!

Just stopped to rest during 3 day journey across country. Peaceful even though located close to highway. Lake in back was great place to stretch legs and relax. I enjoyed having both interior and exterior doors. Window opened and was secure so I didn't have to use AC.

I've passed through Ogallala many many times, but never stopped. The town is easy to get around in and the Driftwood restaurant has really good food. It's small agricultural town, so don't expect anything fancy or city like. Living in a small town in Wyoming, Ogallala felt like home. From it's people to the food, to the surroundings. Very nice city.

Ogallala is really a crossroad of two interstates. There are a number of thing to do near town and in the area. I'm usually just passing through on business, so I don't spend a lot of time there.

The room was advertised as sleeping for 5 adults when that was not true at all. I thought I was paying for a bigger room to sleep more people when I just got highly ripped off because I could have stayed at another hotel with the same 2 queen beds a lot cheaper and they would have had a pool.
Extremely disappointed

photo shoot of eagles at the lake Ogallala and big Mac.
photo shoot of eagles at the lake Ogallala and big Mac. We like to see them every year in January on. The Petrified wood museum was exceptional. food at Vlentinos was good, and comfortable to visit
Summers are a great time to visit also. there is kite flying, sand castle building tournaments, and all the great summer activities. fishing is very good also. Enjoy visiting anytime.
Great price, super nice & clean room, wonderfully comfortable bed, large working refrigerator (most hotel mini fridge’s don’t work), quiet stay, convenient location, great staff! Loved this place! Found an amazing restaurant in town as well - the Driftwood. Don’t miss this place, it has EXCELLENT food and service - also live music, (though not when we were there on a Thurs evening.) The are open til 9pm, so good for late arrivals such as ourselves.
We stayed here last year and didn’t like it much because of rude front desk and noisy neighbors. this year we have it another try and were pleasantly surprised about our experience. A wonderful lady checked us in and made us Werk welcome. room was clean and tidy, everything went perfectly well. we went to McDonalds for breakfast which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Honestly everything exceeded our experience and we will be back
I booked rooms with this Travelodge as a halfway point on our way to and on our way from a family reunion. This stay was our return stay and it was much better than our trip to the reunion. This time the floors were vinyl instead of carpet and it was better because the smell of the Fabuloso cleaner they use was not as overpowering. I also liked that the room was on the ground floor.
right off the highway. The Hotel looks pretty new and was nice and clean. Staff was super friendly and it looks like a lot of people stop here on their way across the midwest in either direction. WE didn't use any of the facilities but the common areas seemed very nice and clean. They had welcome wine and beer during happy hour at no cost too.
Nice clean hotel near the highway and close to gas station and different restaurants and shops. Breakfast is fantastic and the staff is really friendly. Most of the staff speak Spanish.
Rooms are large and comfortable. Really quite hotel and very well maintained. It looks really new.
Private, pretty quiet (it's Nebraska, you can still hear I-80 a little), and really convenient for traveling with our dog! We will absolutely stay here every time we travel through Ogallala. Oh, and the ladies running the breakfast are seriously the best.
It was pretty average low scale hotel. But lots of stains on the couch in the room. The carpet just was moist everywhere. Which was gross. The breakfast was average and pretty decent. It seemed the breakfast staff was on top of things.
Everything was okay. But it needs to be updated. Tubs look old, towels look dingy. Breakfast was horrible. Everything was cold, scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy. It was more expensive than some other hotels with less.
Nothing bad to say about this hotel. This is one of the best we've stayed in on this trip. The room was very clean, well furnished and the staff was exceptional. Great breakfast.
