It has so much character. I love an older hotel and this once had charm and has been kept up. Easy accept to train from airport and in the free zone to get to city centre. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We liked the coffee shop and restaurant.

The property was Clean and the customer service was great
The bad thing I didn’t like is that booking.com didn’t send the information of my reservation and we had to wait more than an hour calling booking customer service and trying to find my reservation that was not in the system. The manager of the hotel was very nice, we had to comunícate twice with booking customer service. They wanted to reacomodate us in a different hotel but I didn’t want to because the Delta Center was across the street where the concert will be performed. The only option was to cancel the reservation and the manager from

Salt Lake City is the surprisingly green Utah capital between the mighty Wasatch Mountain Range and the Great Salt Lake. Aside from skyscrapers housing industrial banks, the skyline is dominated by monuments of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints which is headquartered here.
A church member, Brigham Young, founded the city in what is now This Is The Place Heritage Park. A tower sculpture commemorates the settlers’ trek across America by handcart, an example of which is in the Pioneer Memorial Museum. Walled Temple Square has the main Mormon sights: the Temple is only visitable by members, but anyone can listen to the famous Tabernacle choir.
The State Capitol sits majestically on top of a hill with views of peaks offering winter skiing and summer hiking. The city hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and one venue was the Olympic Cauldron Park within the University of Utah, also home of the Fine Art Museum and Natural History Museum.
The Gilgal Sculpture Garden is a more unusual Salt Lake City attraction and down the road is the Trolley Square Mall. More branded stores are in the Gateway District, while Sugar House is more trendy and eclectic.
Booking.com’s accommodation options include hotels with hot tubs, motels allowing pets and cheap apartments near Salt Lake City Airport.

We ate at Cafe Molise, an Italian restaurant located within walking distance of the Little America. The salmon was “to-die-for” and the in-house, homemade gnocchi in light, creamy basil sauce with pine nuts was the bomb. Cool atmosphere! Our room was super comfortable with ample space in bathroom and sitting area. We loved having two separate vanities. It was a lovely, upscale place to stay right downtown. Hale Centre Theatre 🎭 in Sandy was excellent. We really enjoyed the professional rendition of “Fiddler on the Roof”. Impressive theatre. Skiing is fantastic and close!

We spent most of the time at the Salt Palace for an Outdoor Expo, which was wonderful. The downtown area had a diversified selection of restaurants and most all were great! Downtown still had Christmas lights in mid February, which made it festive in one of the dullest months.
Overall, the city was clean even though there is a large homeless population that occupied one section of the city. With that being said, there wasn’t really any issues that normally come with that.
Salt Lake City has a lot of concerts, professional basketball and many trade expos in addition to a great choice of restaurants and night life.

SLC was just a layover - flew in/out to drive to Moab.
SLC was just a layover - flew in/out to drive to Moab. We spent an afternoon walking around Temple Square (interesting) and the immediate neighborhood. Fair number of restaurants (and even a cocktail bar!) in walking distance. Also a couple museums we didn't have time to visit. Went to Great Salt Lake State Park before heading to airport. Stop in the Visitor's Center. Highly recommend coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Cupla Coffee on W 200 South and Pago on S 900 E for dinner. *Note: I truly don't understand the street naming system!!

I was mostly in the Convention Center which was nice.
I was mostly in the Convention Center which was nice. Temperature in the Center was awesome. I ate at Fat Jack's Burger Emporium. It was ok. Nothig too special. Not many food chpices that didn't include spicy seasonings. I also ate at Brio Italian restaurant. The food was very good and the prices were not too pricey.
I stood at the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel. In the evening many drug addicts would roam around and the homeless would go into the hotel to use the lobby bathroom, but the Hotel outside doors locked at 11pm and no one could get in without a room key.

Bookings.
Bookings. You asked me to review Bposhtels, but this survey is about the city of Salt Lake.
You did NOTHING for me I spent three times the amount of money I planned to spend on accomodations because of the proprietor's misrepresentation and business structure that obscures their responsibilities. I would NEVER stay there again and I do not want to use bookings ever again
The shuttle person (very nice blonde haired woman) was soooo friendly and held us with great convo and information about the area while on our way back to the airport to pick up our rental. I felt absolutely horrible I had no cash on me to tip her. She really was the highlight of the stay there at Comfort Suites and deserves all the recognition!!
The room was HUGE, clean and quiet. Breakfast was just the run of the mill hotel Breakfast but it was hot and they had a good variety to choose from.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel!!
The apartment was immaculately clean and stylish and well appointed, also spacious and in a nice location. I had trouble finding the instructions to get in on my email/text when I arrived near midnight, and I was able to call the property help line and a person answered to tell me how to get into the apartment. Excellent service, excellent property. It was not exactly cheap (close to $200/night all told) but it was also much more than a hotel room -- eg full kitchen, bathroom, walk-in closet, sitting area w/ TV, large bathroom.
There is no need booking a hotel, book this property and you will never regret it. If you are travelling with family, this will be an excellent accommodation choice. It is in a prime area. Quiet location, clean unit, beautiful decor, comfortable bedding plus you get the bedroom and sitting room all to yourself. It offers kitchen gadgets, basic spices for simple meals, green tea, and even coffee. I am truly impressed and if anything brings me back to Salt Lake City, I will consider staying with them.
I get It is a get a chain discount motel but
This location— it could be improved in overall aspects and be managed better
Like I seen water damage on the flooring
The toilet runs water continuously and I’d say is causing the water damage
And it could just be improved upon overall
I don’t recall traveling in the past outside this city SLC & state of Utah and the other motels motel 6 being like this Downtown location
It def could use some improvement
The service was amazing: we ordered room service food at two very different times, and were served in less than twenty minutes each time, with delectable food; the hotel was nearly spotless; the facilities, like the indoor pool, were well-maintained and well-functioning; dinner at the hotel bar was scrumptious and quickly served; valet service was efficient; we were close to downtown; on the whole, we were delighted with our stay.
This is what a hotel is supposed to be this is what a budget hotel is supposed to be the beds were fabulous the room was immaculate the bathroom was great it was beautiful it had wonderful furniture it looked like you gave a crap and we slept like babies perfect perfect a model for other Budget motels
If we ever come back to salt lake City again we won't stay anywhere else
The room was spacious, comfortable and calm, which is certainly of high priority after a long-haul flight. The interior made you feel good. The breakfast was pretty much standard, which is fine for a business overnight stay. Nothing outstanding, just what is needed for trouble-free stay. Good: the hotel offers an airport shuttle service for free.
Slightly run down hotel, convenient for the airport. Very sociable bar (Amelia's) with decent food and beer at a decent price that made up for it. Plenty of free parking. Gas station next door. Breakfast was very basic but serviceable. Convenient as a place to base a skiing holiday as long as you have a hire car.
Really nice staff, my room was perfect, clean, had a big space, beatiful view of the mountains, public transport 3 minutes from the hotel, direct tram to the airport (around 25 minutes), everything nearby. I’m so excited about it. If I ever visit SLC again, this hotel will be my clear choice.
Loved the vintage/old look of the hotel! Smaller room but fine for two people. The sink was in the main area not the bathroom which was odd. Our coffee pot didn’t work so had to go down to the lobby for coffee each morning. location was nice and within walking distance to restaurants.
The doubleshot barista in the lobby was fantastic. The decor in the room was odd, kinda of interesting. Pets stay free. I'm not sure of anything else I liked about the doubletree downtown slc. I think it is the Salt Lake market, not the doubletree hotel itself.
It is close to downtown. Easy to reach, they have a free shuttle to/from the airport. The staffs are very helpful. But the best part is their breakfast:) Hotel has a pool too, although we did not use it, other guests, look like very happy from the pool :)
The desk clerk was friendly and accommodating, the room was very nice as well as clean and comfortable. The location was also ideal, giving access to downtown and City Creek shopping area as well as Temple Square and the adjacent freeways
Decently close to the downtown core, about a 10 minute drive. There was two sinks in our room, which was a nice touch.
We drove from Zion to Yellowstone, stopping at SLC. The hotel met our needs for our overnight stay.
